Regarding the recent posts saying real naturists wouldn’t hide their faces. Some of us would lose our jobs and families if our naturism became common knowledge. That’s why you’ll never see my wife’s face, or mine, on a public forum. One day, when society grows up, it might change. #Naturist

We have a lot to do to change societal attitudes. Articles like this are written to sell papers. Sex sells. Treating people decently doesn’t. Until society accepts that we have a body and it’s not sinful or obscene, we’re just firefighting. Ever felt like Sisyphus?

I don’t either. It’s not necessary. Naturism is a philosophy. It’s a way of treating people and nature with empathy. It’s revelling in the beauty of life. You’re a naturist even when you’re dressed. The problem is social attitudes. Until people stop equating “nude = sex”, we will be seen as odd.

Then they aren’t necessarily naturists. They might just like to be naked around others. They don’t fully understand or appreciate the full ethos. If they did, you’d be accepted for who you are.

It’ll happen. It’s other people that think nude is wrong, when it’s inherently rubbish. Everyone is naked at some point in their day. Naturists just feel less stressed & more comfortable without clothes, so are naked for longer. I wrote this as a response to a similar post.

It’s equalising. If everyone is naked, no one is. Clothes denote status, naked we’re all just human. No bikini, hiding body parts for an excited imagination, just a whole person. You can only know this when you lose the textiles.

It’s really not that difficult. I use words like, Happy Confident Strong Empowering You can still say beautiful, if prefixing smile, eyes, etc’ Just don’t objectify or figuratively carve her body up like an old butchers picture of beef cuts. She’s a whole human, body and mind, not parts.
