I’ve got that Sussex single somewhere - quite good as I recall. Great Wreckess Eric too.

Some pics today from my Sevilla haul #weekendsingles #musicsky #vinylsky #vinyl I’m a bit of a sucker for foreign picture sleeves

Sat in a bar with a beer and my bag of records, keeping an eye on the BBC sport site - seems we are holding our own so far ⚽️

A few Spanish pressings of some new wave 7”s. Will post some pics later.

We’re going to a few miles out but on a bus route in

Thanks for the tip. Looks like it’s going to be 29 degrees when we’re there. 😎

Can any of the #weekendsingles crew recommend any good vinyl shops in Seville, preferably those with some used vinyl? Thanks

Dave C @dakotaboo.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

These look great - sadly I have precisely none of them

110

Dave C @dakotaboo.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I’ve seen it online for crazy prices. The one I saw in the wild was £30. Kicking myself now for not buying it but I’ve never spent that much in a 7” … yet.

Dave C @dakotaboo.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Great band. They played EOTR festival a couple of times and I was fortunate enough to see them.

010

Dave C @dakotaboo.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Oh wow, that Flys 7”. Only ever seen it once out in the wild and annoyed I didn’t buy it.

110

Dave C @dakotaboo.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Great XTC 7” - does yours have the shimmer effect plastic outer?

110

Dave C @dakotaboo.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Bethnal any good? I see them around occasionally for not too much.

Dave C @dakotaboo.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Nice selection. I was doing well until the last 4, where I only have the Ultravox one. The other 3 in that last set of 4 look interesting though.

Dave C @dakotaboo.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

First time I’d ever heard it. Quite good.

010

Dave C @dakotaboo.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Great selection, and I score an acceptable 6 out of 9

Completed my hit parade this week when I finally found a copy of number 4

110

Dave C @dakotaboo.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Nice. Think I’m just missing the Howard sleeve. Wonder what happened to him?

110

Dave C @dakotaboo.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

This is a great 7”. Pretty good b-side too

010

Dave C @dakotaboo.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

A few of the 7”s I picked up earlier in the week in that London #weekendsingles #musicsky #vinylsky #vinyl including the last of the Wedding Present’s hit parade i needed to complete my collection

A bit Marmite - I liked them, others didn’t

Sunset - just before Pulp came on. We’re way too old for sunrises these days, well we might wake up for one but certainly can’t stay up all night to see one anymore. We were heading back to the van just after midnight as the youngsters were heading into the arena for the late sets.

Couldn’t participate in #weekendsingles as was at End of the Road festival with almost zero signal but have been enjoying everyone’s posts this morning now I’m back home. Great festival with Pulp, Super Furry Animals, Adult DVD, Jeffrey Lewis, Geese, Fat Dog, Ty Segall, and loads more. Tired now 😴

These are great. Only one I have is Bin Juice, which I think may be a compilation

Saw them at a festival earlier in the year, without Fergal of course, but still good and their first couple of albums and that run of 5 or 6 singles stand the test of time well.

110

Dave C @dakotaboo.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

I’ve got the album and the 7”s. Never knew there was a live release too. Added to wants list.

We’re looking good, but Brentford are no push over

Great Penetration and Psychedelic Furs

Saw Cocteau Twins just the once, Birmingham early 80’s I’d guess. Ethereal.

American Squirm is a great track, written by Elvis Costello if my memory serves me right
