Devil May Cry (2025 Series) 10/10 Genuinely a great series, not only a great adaptation of the source material but extremely relevant commentary on the state of American politics. Dante's great, Lady's great, the White Rabbit is an extremely interesting antagonist. Very funny as well. Love it.

Vespertine (2001 album) 10/10 This album made me realize Björk truly is something special. Her unique experiences are breathed to life in ways I haven't heard anyone else attempt in this project. It's all about types of love, how they can affect you, how they can be corrupted, etc. Beautiful work.

Post (1995 album) 9/10 I've never heard Björk before this, but this was a solid introduction I think. My favorites were The Modern Things, Oh So Quiet, Isobel, and I Miss You. They had solid instrumentation and lovely vocals from Björk herself, and thoughtful lyrics. Loved my time overall!

The Suicide Squad (2021 movie) 10/10 Guys I think James Gunn is just, like, the best Super Hero director of today? Every single movie he's directed has been a hit, perfect blend of drama, action, and comedy. It's just so good.

As for the game itself, it's good! Falls off near the end and way harder than I remember (especially the latter half and *especially* Eggmanland wtf), but still a very enjoyable Sonic game. People give the Werehog way too much flack, too. Yeah it's a slow, wannabe GOW but it's my slow, wannabe GOW!

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (2024 Movie) 8/10 Peak, your honor. Unironically some things about this movie are done like. A lot better than in SA2 originally? But at the same time I also wish it was more faithful, but at the same time the things the movie gets right it gets extremely right.

Austin illustrating this by having most of the adventures deal with the aftermath of the rest of the crew's seasons is genius. By the end, this crew feels tighter-knit than ever, and every player plays their characters perfectly in the midst of the in-fighting and drama. Not ready for it to end.

Rolling With Difficulty Per Aspera Season 3 (2023) 11/10 Some of the highest highs I've heard in an Actual Play. This season took VR-LA from one of my favorite PCs to one of my favorite characters in media, his arc is that good. Massive props to Noir's acting and Austin's DMing for this masterpiece!

Kamen Rider W (2009 - 2010) 9.5/10 I get tokusatsu now. This show is not only action-packed and hilarious, but filled with legitimately captivating drama and intriguing mysteries each episode. The emphasis on Shotaro and Phillip being two halves of a whole is also super intriguing. Damn good TV.

Kamen Rider W Forever: A to Z/The Gaia Memories of Fate (2010 Movie) 9/10 As a spiritual finale to the show it works really well. I probably wouldn't recommend it without the 44 episodes of context prior, but after that, you're in for a treat!

Cardfight Vanguard: DivineZ Season 2 (2024) 8/10 Solid escalation of stakes from last season. New characters are fun and there are twists solid enough to be surprising yet foreshadowed at the same time. Can't wait for the next Tournament Arc. :3

Thank god the UI in XCXDE is legible. It also fixes one of my bigger problems with the original: There's more info on how Overdrive works without needing to consult a digital manual, and it even shows how long you have without needing to be able to read dot!

Cassette Beasts (2023) 10/10 I loved this! It's extremely fun, battles are interesting in a way that's unique from Pokemon, the story is honestly very sweet, and it's got style for days! I recommend this for anyone who wants a fresh take on the monster-catching formula.

DanDaDan (2024 Anime) 9/10 Very weird, very experimental, very peak. It's also very rare to get an anime to get me to care about a love triangle/square. A testament to the character writing. My only complaint is that this season ends on a cliffhanger. A double cliffhanger at that.

The Year Without a Santa Claus (1974) 8/10 My only complaints with this one in particular are that it doesn't follow the lore of the previous film (which is a dumbass complaint I realize), and things in the story just kinda. Happen. Otherwise? Of course it's great!

Klaus (2019) 10/10 Finally a good holiday movie. It hit my emotions several times, especially in the end. I'm so tempted to make this a yearly tradition now. In spite of some flaws (liar revealed trope my belothed) I can truly consider this a Christmas classic.

Okay, I put it off long enough. Xenoblade 1, 2, 3, and all its DLC campaigns are worthy enough to be here. Each one has affected me in ways I can't even articulate, but I picked 2 simply because it hit the hardest. It has its problems, yes, but the highs you get from it are more than worth those.

Every Ace Attorney game is, at minimum, really fucking good, but this one is my favorite simply because of how everything in both Great Ace Attorneys tie together beautifully into a story about imperialism and prejudice. Especially good if you want to dunk on British people exclusively.

AI: The Somnium Files has some of Uchikoshi's best writing ever; a narrative full of twists and turns that tackles extremely heavy subjects with a sense of care. It also made Schrödinger's Protagonist where depending on when you look at him he is either the best or worst person you know!

Okay I'm done not being obvious Not only is Hades the most addictive roguelike ever created, it uses the roguelike formula to create a deep, intricate narrative that can only be done in such a game. Getting to the surface for the first time made me cry. Please play Hades. It's so damn worth it.

Yes, the writing falls flatter than a plank of wood, it's extremely simplistic in the grand scheme of things and re-uses level design to an egregious degree. I don't care, this was my second Sonic game ever and the first game I beat. And to this day it's still fun as fuck. Ultimate sucks tho

The Dolls of New Albion, A Steampunk Opera (2012) 8/10 An interesting approach to a musical; rather than focusing on a central character (rather than Jasper I suppose), it focuses on the world as a whole and how its affected by raising the dead. Both fun and dark, with a hint of existential!
