Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 24/09/2026pure doomerism right here, buying into the framing AI companies want to be true. 100
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 24/09/2026All of these points have nuances i physically do not have the time to explain (i got D&D) But i would ask that you ask whether these points are you own or just repeating someone elses, if the later, who? 120
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 24/09/2026thats why we shouldn't tax it, it'll give a more sizable impact in the economy AI is not to the point you describe yet, thats why I reckon it'll be tested hard 100
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 24/09/2026They're getting the centers to pay for their own solar and water, its the NT and Queensland governments who are the exception you are talking about. We are not 100% in on decarbonisation (compromise) but still world leading, don't buy into Australian Institute talking points that it still good. 110
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 24/09/2026I'm tired of the doomerism I've watched a many question time and senate estimates, our gov's current stance on AI (with the exception of Queensland and NT) is an arms-length "you can build here but you gotta pay for the solar and water so we don't" 100
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 24/09/2026Example for the first sentence: "But AI is ever-improving" or in this case: "People are tired of the major parties" I genuinely do not know if people started tired of the parties then it was reported or if everything started being framed like that then we followed along. 010
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 24/09/2026Independent presses still comment in the context of a wider narrative I see Labor acting on everything I would have wanted them to and more when i voted, but the goalposts seem to have shift. There is some stuff I would like them to do more on but thats compromise, thats democracy. 210
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 24/09/2026They give that to both major parties and if I were a sleazy company I would do that just to throw people off. My point still stands either way, deals with gas have been contracted by Libs. AI deals are still nebulous, hence greater likelihood of action. 000
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 24/09/2026I ask that you apply that to distrust to all political parties and to the media. This is coming from a ex-green who has studied media academically. Labor has is giving world leading progress on climate change and has fixed negative gearing. Those actions are why I back them. 110
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 24/09/2026Its Labor, literally every press outlet reports them unfavorably, private media has always been against union parties. I still remember the speed of which Bondi (sorry for the heaviness) was politicised by the opposition and press alike against Labor. That has never happened before. 110
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 24/09/2026we have signed contracts with oil/gas, that's why movement against them is difficult. AI contracts are still ongoing I'd believe state capture if it were any other party in charge, Labor is funded through union-based institutions. Not mining billionaires like ON/LIB or the Australian Institute are 100
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 24/09/2026"A taskforce has been launched to explore the “legal situation” of the breach" I reckon its real likely we will, Labor is the ones who built medicare 100
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 24/09/2026"A taskforce has been launched to explore the “legal situation” of the breach." Question for you, If they didn't say anything until the legal path was clear would you still call us piss weak? 110
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 24/09/2026I reckon this will test who is legally liable for AI hacks (since Medicare is Labor's darling), and that will happen way before either of those things get hacked. AI isn't particularly adept at hacking, if you look at it from just costs. Give any group the same money as OpenAI and this can happen 110
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 24/09/2026I mean not really, OpenAI just hacked an Australian institution 100
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 24/09/2026"The portal contains non-sensitive Medicare information relating to data and statistics, such as spending" 100
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 22/09/2026There's also potential interference in the 2010 Labor spill. I don't put it pass the US to do such intentionally, their history of foreign interference speaks for itself. Also, assuming that they do have that sort of power over us contextualises AUKUS real well 000
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 22/09/2026I agree on the better part but we did lose a PM who was critical of American military bases He was the only one to be "fired" from the job by the Governor General, that's pretty vassal-like. 100
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 18/09/2026Don't know much about WA, mostly just that its big into mining Victoria might honestly be the best place in the country and thats hard to say coming from a NSW-er such as myself. 010
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 18/09/2026and yet, they've been elected. One of which since federation. This exchange is what I mean by affect btw, you and me both know spouting a wall of flak is more to feel good rather than convince me. I would spout general talking points back but I don't carry those with me 010
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 18/09/2026If this re-clarified fact terrifies you. please consult and join your nearest suspiciously well funded political party 010
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 18/09/2026Question, are you saying this for me or the general internet public? If we did want to try some discussion together I might suggest just posting our single best point against each party and leaving it at that. Better to have one thing to mull over each, rather than a long shouting match 100
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 18/09/2026Yes, and I'm also aware there is LITERALLY NOTHING that will convince you to share this view Case in point the issue of affect 100
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 18/09/2026Very politically/societally stable here in Australia relative to the rest of the world. Very decent welfare too. Although we're having a bit of an over-immigration issue so there might be some barriers to entry 110
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 18/09/2026ON is a party of affect, not substance. Like how Labor is giving us the best we can reasonably get given global circumstances but still seems alike Collation in many peoples minds 100
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 18/09/2026also *cough cough* we signed these deals under libs and Labor has been getting real stuff done on curbing multinational tax avoidance 000
Dain5k @dain5k.neocities.org · 18/09/2026I agree its a bad deal we signed with Gas companies But I don't want the country to become funded by fossil fuel companies through taxes, it'll just make it harder to transition away from them later on. There is more tax dollars to gain from other industries 110
