![TLDR:
Last week's friday I went out downtown with my family, and as we went to an Asian Mall [or as we refer to them colloquially as "Mall Chinos", greetings from Chile y'all!]. I spotted a pile of Energy Drinks, which apparently are not very good in terms of flavor according to my big sis. Which happens to feature various characters from DBZ.
And if you know the Memes surrounding Hornet from HK: Silksong, especially in the Hispanic or Latin American spheres… You might recognize a certain word... And look who they picked for that flavour to get plastered in a can of this energy drink~

![Thus I decided to make this fanart, based on that piece of promotional photography to really complete the image we all had.
I followed as best as I could the official model sheets produced for the cartoon series. Also I have to mention that I was going to make an alternate version featuring April's redesign in the "RED SKY" seasons, something I may do later, who knows.
=ⒻⓊⓃ ⒻⒶⒸⓉ=
The model number and letters present in the camera April is holding are a "hidden reference" that is a bit convoluted but makes sense to some degree...
- MIRAEYE [which sounds like the word MIRAI, which is "Future" in Japanese], but the G, if you remove the YE and position the G between the A and E... you get the word "MIRAGE"
- K is shorter for Kevin Eastman and P is shorter for Peter Laird
- 84 is short for the year 1984, the year the first issue of the TMNT comic was published by Mirage.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:6kkugi5xqdwgp3ynf45tfh5m/bafkreibgp3dk5m5wkhq5o4pjyzo6si4utvtgnoc32bx6njv4v7coka2bcu)
![Now that I've shared the lore in the ALT text of the LP Version...
Boiiiiii~ Where do I even begin!?
The origin of my fanart started when I browsed Twitter and found a charming fanart by the artist @koasku depicting Gumi as an astronaut followed by the triple baka goofballs as part of the Pikmin universe.
Now I was going to draw something more directly based on that cute doodle of theirs [which retroactively would make it my first Pikmin fanart] when I then, said to myself, YO! what if Gumi was WUMBO and visited our world? And just like that! that's how I came to make this fanart--and then it spun into a slightly complex job when I decided to try and make a variant in the format of a Vinyl Packaging/LP cover art, something I've never done before--Maaaaaan, this was fun.
One thing I have to mention is; the japanese text present in the LP version of this fanart was done through "machine-based translation" and if I got anything wrong, I profusely apologize.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:6kkugi5xqdwgp3ynf45tfh5m/bafkreiasaj45w7ca7p5hkdqdjh226kt63k4zeseft7k72wgsxb7y5ao6ly)
![𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄?
There's a Doujinshi called "𝐍𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐔𝐭𝐬𝐮𝐤𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐤𝐢 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐫𝐲𝐚𝐤𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐚 𝐅𝐮𝐤𝐤𝐨𝐤𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐧 [ウル星セブン]" which essentially a mashup between the crazy world of Rumiko Takahashi's Urusei Yatsura and the Scifi Tokusatsu classic Ultraseven. It exists, and bundled in said fanmade publication was a short story featuring another Rumic mash with another Ultra series; RANMA 1/2 & ULTRAMAN LEO.
And in said short segment we get to see the cast of Ranma as the MAC defense team with Ranma themselves... Hilariously transforming into Leo through a well placed splashing of water instead of the Leo ring~ and even more hilarously is that Genma is casted as a Pandafied Alien Magma. A shame we didn't spend more time with this mash but what is there is fun.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:6kkugi5xqdwgp3ynf45tfh5m/bafkreicrnhly4z56ztolb72yfssc6ym5eoqlakpcmpz4av2audzhoie7g4)
