Nacka Municipality and Circle K already have an agreement in place. The decommissioning of the Berg oil terminal is scheduled to begin on January 1, 2034, and the site is to be handed over to the municipality—fully remediated—no later than January 1, 2037.

Svenska myndigheter stoppar redan fartyg utan giltig flagga tills det åtgärdas. Falskflagg ju vara förknippat med bötesbelopp för fartygets ägare (innan fartyget släpps), att gå på fartygets befälhavare verkar ju inte fungera.

But even the message nr 5 that contains the static information (IMO number etc) contains the mmsi number. One must remember that AIS was nerver made for a worldwide tracking network with spofing etc I guess the reason for this situation is a lack of coordination within the shadow fleet.

Bulker free to leave after master admitted violating the Swedish Environmental Code and has deposited money for future fines. Hopefully ship owners inform their crew about the fines and consequences of dumping in Swedens EEZ and waters. Detaining a ship for investigation cost owners 💸

Monitoring the Baltic Sea, the Swedish Coast Guard's aircraft discovered yesterday that the Panama-flagged bulk carrier Hui Yuan was flushing coal residues into the sea. This is a violation of the Environmental Code.

Overfilling when bunking heavy fuel oil outside Gothenburg, maximum spill is a few hundred liters, most remain onboard. But hard to know as the cold water temperature makes the oil sink. One crew member of the Portuguese flagged ship received a fine for failing to report the incident to authorities
