9/ Threat actors also target AI systems - in the report, we talk through how we approach securing model inputs and design.

6/ Fourth: Russian operations continue a trend we've reported before of co-opting third parties in other countries to run their covert influence operations. We share two examples, both targeting Africa. This trend is particularly pernicious as it make it more difficult to hold them accountable

132

4/ Third: We are able to attribute a long-running operation known as "Endless Mayfly" (H/T @citizenlab.ca) to Iran's International Union of Virtual Media. This operation spanned networks we disrupted from 2018 through 2024 and was active across numerous online platforms.

3/ Second: Ever since COVID, online fraud and scam activity has exploded. We walk through the internal Fraud Attack Chain taxonomy we use to map out scams and we also share an investigation into a scam center in Cambodia we disrupted

It’s green season in the Bay! And the mustard is flowering in Half Moon Bay. Sometimes when world events have you down it’s good to get above it for a bit.

Yeah I think you're right, some of the news coverage seems to indicate that NYPD did find brass at the scene

Finally, saw some people commenting that the money in this picture was too small denomination for a billionaire. It’s likely for bribes and source payouts, which are best made in smaller denomination local currency or international standard currency. 4/end

Some photos of Yevgeny Prigozhin appeared today today, some notable stuff, besides how dumb he looks. First, this one. Most notable is the insignia on his hat, which appears to be for the Libyan Armed Forces, and is consistent with the uniform he’s wearing. Why Libya? 1/x

And they’re either a spam amplifier for ShirtsThatGoHard or they’re just copying all of their designs, including their twitter bio (with the IG link suspiciously removed)

The first account there, which is subbed to Blue, appears to only insta-reply to posts with ViralStyle links

So it’s very hard to empirically tell, mainly bc a lot of the researcher APIs that enabled external validation don’t exist anymore. Aside from my own user ex, one side effect of Blue is that spam is more *visible* bc spammers can buy top mentions. Eg. Pic is the current top tweet for “shirt” search

Woof Wednesday with two perritos traveling north from Baja to Seattle. Oro and Laura were strays taken in by Baja Dogs La Paz and later adopted by families in Washington. The slept the whole way up, though Laura often stuck her head up front to make sure we knew what we were doing.

This is Zeus. He is a deaf Great Pyrenees who lived in a small shelter in Sonoma until he was adopted by a deaf dog rescue ranch in SoCal. He was one of my first Pilots n Paws passengers and fell asleep from the engine vibrations. He lives in SoCal now and guards a bunch of sheep.

Hello San Francisco. These flights always make me think about how someone on the ground is having a cold, wet, overcast day; yet a sunny blue skies day is just a few hundred feet above them. Two completely different moods coexisting.

David Agranovich @dagrano.bsky.social · 15/05/2023

I was just thinking back to that! Very cool to see what y’all have built since then. That Tahoe trip was great too. Was just up there yesterday!
