I'm not a big fan of my strength training days either. I'm thinking of getting into bouldering in order to do full body strength, but make it interesting; fun even!

Also got a couple days of bike commuting in between big snows, along with my normal walk/hike commutes to work (7k roundtrip). #bikecommuting #bikes #cycling #cityonbike #urbancycling #walkcommuting #walktowork #hiking #walking

Great morning trail run with the best dog in the world. We've been putting in a lot of time hiking and running lately. I love winter. I just wish it would stop warming up. I want snow, not slush! #run #runner #trailrun #trailrunner #traildog #husky #malamute #alusky #dogs

Great hike w/the pup this evening a/f a morning bike trainer tempo session and then a daytime hike in the glorious sun. Caught a late sunset and the moon. #hike #dogs #hiker #outdoors #outdoorlife

Ah okay. Definitely a good consideration then. Have you ever watched The Iimpossible Route YouTube videos with Jeremiah Bishop and The Vegan Cyclist (Tyler??)? I like their bike set ups for bikepacking (although it depends on how long you're going as to what setup you'd need).

Lol. It was. It was -10c with -14c feels like. Perfect for Kodi! Doable, but a little chilly for me.

Honored to be in this list of other amazing scientists I look up to. Being 50th in the list hopefully just indicates that I am a slow with deadlines - and nothing more 😂

That's interesting. I went for a run with my 945 at about 6:30am EST, and it didn't crash (I'm in Toronto)

Because most ppl are insecure. They seek security in acquiring more, since acquisitions offer a tangible measure of progress toward perceived security. Ppl also want certainty & so project presumed ideals onto others and judge accordingly. This makes their worlds appear simpler & so more certain

Evening hikes. Almost lost our snow today and it's now basically turned to ice (from 5c to -10c overnight). Should be fun skating around the sidewalks and streets of Toronto tomorrow! How fantastic would it be if you could actually skate or xc ski to work?! #nighthikes #hiking #torontolife #trails

I've been loving the cold and snow that we've had after New Years here in Toronto. I would far prefer a vacation in Norway, hut to hut skiing this winter rather than going somewhere warm. Any other winter lovers out there? #winter #snowglobe #hiking #winterhikes #Toronto

000

Evanhikes&ridesbikes @dagis1646.bsky.social · 15/01/2025

For some odd reason I love running in really cold temps (of course I'm accompanied by a husky/malamute, so that probably contributes!)

Morning session: 45 mins upper body and core strength and then a 35 min easy run after yesterday's FRC sprints on the trainer. Felt good and not too tired. Then the 40 min walk to work. Great way to start the day. #runner #trailrunner #hiker #cyclist

Definitely the hardest part of the training for me is resting. Rest days are okay once a week. But I do 3 weeks one one rest week and I despise that rest week. Yet I've had the best results I've ever had in races by implementing that training schedule.
