I suspect you'll fall in love with both 6 and 9. A familiarity to those two with the emotive levels of X. Don't sleep on 4 and 8. 4 is quite silly at times, but it's a great story(even if the final boss is a bastard). 8 can seem cumbersome, but it's not bad. Beware the dynamic leveling, though.

For what it's worth, I rather enjoyed it. The combat wasn't too extreme, I'm no good at DMC level action games. It had a solid learning curve. Also, the soundtrack doesn't get the attention it should, the music is fantastic.

Her stutter was a fantastic character trait, really sold her fear along with falling while running. She has a few flashes of "I'm sick of this shit!" too, giving me a New Jill vibe. Amazing new character.
