The #GAC ban in #Indiana for #trans #youth just reinstated is horrific and painful for youth all across Indiana. If you have any trans youth friends, checking in with them would mean worlds. (Image via MuncieOUTreach)

Indiana's ban on transgender healthcare for minors was just reinstated. This means anyone under 18 will be denied the life saving medical help they need. Transgender youth have a significantly higher rate of suicide and the lack of medical care will see the rates grow in Indiana. We want to send love and support to our families whose lives will be changed by this. We are here for you. Suicide and Crisis Lifeline 988 Trans Lifeline 877-565-8860

Fuck Your Lecture on Craft, My People Are Dying / Noor Hindi / Poetry / December 2020

Poem by Noor Hindi. Title: Fuck Your Lecture on Craft, My People Are Dying. Poem Content:
Colonizers write about flowers.
I tell you about children throwing rocks at Israeli tanks seconds before becoming daisies. I want to be like those poets who care about the moon.
Palestinians don't see the moon from jail cells and prisons.
It's so beautiful, the moon.
They're so beautiful, the flowers.
I pick flowers for my dead father when I'm sad.
He watches Al Jazeera all day.
I wish Jessica would stop texting me Happy Ramadan.
I know I'm American because when I walk into a room something dies.
Metaphors about death are for poets who think ghosts care about sound.
When I die, I promise to haunt you forever.
One day, I'll write about the flowers like we own them.

Uranium Tailings / Nuclear Enchantment / Patrick Nagatani (Anaconda Minerals Corporation, Laguna Pueblo Reservation, New Mexico, 1990)

Photograph of Uranium Tailings pile created by the Anaconda Minerals Corporation on the Laguna Pueblo Reservation. Description: In the desert behind a fence bearing a radioactive warning sign, a large mound rises from the earth and the sky behind and above it is washed in an eerie green-blue glow.
