Here’s a real sunset I took a photo of. Not Ai generated and not worthy of any god’s veneration.

This column in the weekend edition of the Pall-Times by Managing Editor Charles Ellis recounts Claudia Tenney's encounter at last year with an @indivisibleosco.bsky.social member when Tenney claimed to (literally) have the receipts proving our rallies were financially supported by George Soros.

The perfect album doesn’t exist. This is close.

Album cover to the National’s album Boxer. One of the finest albums to ever exist. Fake empire, Mistaken for Strangers, squalor Victoria, Green Gloves, Slow Show, Apartment Story, Start a War, Guest Room, Racing Kike a Pro, ADA, Gospel.
Matt Berninger sounds like the guy behind the chicken wire in a shit bar, drink g and smoking as much as the patrons while the four twins slash and burn with ferocity and thumping that is subliminal.

I just re read the final chapter of this book; it is so f—king good. It says everything about this mo all the ment. It is why DSA, Free Palestine, anti Centrists are growing. Bc the status quo centrist Dem position is now genocide. & even former centrists like me see that’s morally indefensible.

Good evening bluesky, from Lake Ontario.

Sunset over Lake Ontario. At Fort Ontario. Sunsets give me hope. The knowledge such beauty can happen every day, maybe that’s why.

Went for a hike today. Came upon a decision early. Thought a lot about this poem during my hike in the woods.

Picture of two bridges on two paths. Reminds me of Robert Frost’s famous poem.

The Road Nor Taken. By Robert Frost.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference

A pretty sunset tonight. I like to think of the young tree here being the hope for our future. The new growth of hopeful progressivism, as the sun sets on this era of reactionary division, despair and anger.

Text from a friend. The day before the Iran attack, I paid $2.79 a gallon.

Yesterday when I stopped for gas, it was $3.99 which was bad today $4.19

My high school son just (pretty much) forced us to listen to this book on our travels this spring break. I tried reading it and was about ready to give up. The audio was remarkable and really made me love the book in a way reading couldn’t. Not usually an audiobook fan, but this was incredible.

Just listened to a masterpiece of American literature. Their eyes were watching god. One of the instances where the person narrating made the audio version better and more meaningful than if I’d read it. What an incredible story, I’m grateful to have listened to it.

Gonna make Iraq and Vietnam look like a swift victory if we drop troops in Iran.

Total Size: Iran is roughly 3.7 to 4 times larger than Iraq.
Area: Iran (approx. 636,000 mi²) is more than double the size of Iraq and Afghanistan combined.
Population: Iran's population of over 85–93 million is roughly three to 3.5 times higher than Iraq’s.
Context: If placed over the United States, Iran would stretch from the Atlantic Ocean to the Plains states.
Iran's vast, mountainous terrain offers it higher strategic depth compared to Iraq's smaller, more desert-focused landscape

The nicest almost 11 year old goldendoodle you’ll ever meet. She does the butt sway when she meets new people she’s so excited to see them. An 11 year old puppy who has more love in her than 200 humans.
