Maybe I'm just not cut out to be a teacher, but I don't know what else a native English speaker that doesn't know how to speak/read/write Chinese can do for a job here in Taiwan. I mean, I'm thinking about opening up my own restaurant but that is my only other idea.

Look at the Republicans. They have MAGA, far-right groups, and even White supremacists who are ready to scream, protest, harass officials, and sometimes even resort to violence to get what they want. They threaten, boycott, and pressure businesses, schools, and local governments.

I honestly feel like I can teach these ESL students academically. It's the behavioral issues that happen everyday in the classroom that I cannot handle. I need an assistant teacher in my classrooms everyday. Otherwise there is no way I can succeed.

I try to be a nice ESL teacher and allow my students to watch an interesting nature documentary and animals, but half of my class would rather not pay attention and just chat to each other instead of taking this as an opportunity to listen to the English language about an entertaining topic.

I gave one of my ESL classes a unit test today and then they all finished it within 10 minutes but then all but one of them got 75% or less on the test. It's like they don't even care. They don't even try. They say the test is so easy, then they all end up missing so many questions.

I have ADHD, Anxiety both social and regular and self diagnosed Autism. Working with people, especially children is not my strong suit. I can't focus when I am sick, injured (my back keeps severely tightening up on me making walking and bending over difficult.), or when I don't have time to prep.
