An inch of movement is better than a mile of intentions. Even writing or drawing a few lines towards your project is better than fantasizing. Comics take a loooong time, but they’re worth it in the end. Keep creating, friends

For #screenshotSaturday, we have some BLOOPERS While checking our build, Cero made wheeze-worthy blooper reels 🤣 Strongly considering releasing this game on April Fool's Day Wishlist the real game on Steam👇

A smiling man with sparkles holds a spoonful of ice cream to a shocked woman. The line reads, “Before she can react, Seki shoves a spoon of ice cream down Sari’s throat.”

A woman wearing an oversized coat stands before a destroyed classroom, saying, “I should go after Seth! He’s such a terrible guy, I can’t help but be attracted to him!”

An embarrassed woman says, “I like it when you call me stupid.”

A woman stands at a portside next to the following line, spoken by a character named Shadow, “I really don’t recommend the yellow ice cream.”

Context: Our team’s coder recently updated the build of Nozomu School Daze so that I could code Julius’s route When I opened Visual Studio, I was greeted with THIS, and I wheezed so hard, I nearly choked 🤣💀 #indiedev #gamedev #renpy

A screenshot of Nozomu School Daze’s code in Visual Studio, showing a choice labeled “the ultimate decision!” The two options are “I wanna marry Julius! He’s so dapper!” while the other choice is labeled “I kind of don't want to marry Julius. There's a stain on his shirt.”

A screenshot of Nozomu School Daze’s code in Visual Studio, outlining a potential bad ending with the following text:
Narrator "Something really dramatic and sad happens here, I assure you."
Narrator "Sari didn't want to marry Julius because he had a stain on his shirt. Very tragic."
Narrator "She looked at this locket with very sad eyes every day wondering how it could have been."
Narrator "If only he hadn't had that stain on his shirt. sad face”

An embarrassed woman stares at the camera with blushing cheeks, saying, "The most elegant, most in-demand, most rich — richest! — schoolboy that ever was has shoved my face against his rippling pectorals! What even is my life?!" Behind her is an illustration of a dashing man wearing a top hat, pressing her cheek to his chest as he runs with her in a bridal carry. The woman is Sari, our heroine in Nozomu School Daze, an upcoming otome visual novel by Maroon Ink Studio! The man is Julius Van der Geest, and a mob of fangirls is chasing him!

An angry woman faces down an enraged cat man in a forest background. The text reads, “I’m not stupid!” The woman is Sari, our heroine in Nozomu School Daze, an upcoming otome visual novel by Maroon Ink Studio, and the cat man is Seth, a romanceable male lead!

An annoyed woman in a school uniform, Sari, glares at the camera. Three men stand before her: Seki, a long-haired martial artist with his hair in a ponytail; Seth, a cat man in a school uniform, and Julius, a dapper knight in a suit-vest and top hat. The cat man is crying because Seki says, “Nope, never heard of you.”

It’s Throwback Thursday! Nozomu School Daze’s female main character, Sari, started quite differently from her eventual design in the game! Methinks @daceronine.bsky.social was just having fun with that last one! 😛 What do you think looks best? One, two, three, four, or... five? 🤔

Five drawings of the same woman in different outfits are spread across a page and numbered 1 through 5. The first outfit is a school uniform with a velvet corset and a pleated skirt that cuts off at the knees. The second outfit covers her entire body in a modest dress that has ruffles in the ankle-length skirt. The third outfit is a green dress that shows Sari’s shoulders and has a ribbon belt cinched around her waist. The fifth outfit is similar to a Bavarian milkmaid’s in that it has a knee-length, puffy skirt and a modest lace-up shirt. The fifth outfit is the same as Yor’s from Spy X Family: a form-fitting, soft red body suit with leggings and boots.
