If eccentric means unconventional behavior that deviates from the norm, then naturism is eccentric—just like, from what I see every day, critical thinking, common sense, and basic manners. But it’s not naturism that’s eccentric; rather, it’s the norms that are out of whack.

The worst part, in my opinion, isn't that there may be fewer naked people in places like beaches, but rather other people's lack of respect for that choice of freedom. Is it possible that we're actually getting worse in that regard?

Comprendo a las personas cuya moral las hace intolerantes hacia la desnudez. Es lo que a muchos nos inculcaron. Pero solo los que podemos revisar nuestras creencias con espíritu crítico, en lugar de aceptarlas ciegamente, podemos decidir si continuamos en ellas o las damos por superadas.

I agree. Casual is the key. It seems to me that Germans don’t make a big deal out of nakedness—it's simply... wearing nothing. No taboos, no drama—just the freedom to be oneself without anyone batting an eye. Pure naturalness, just as it should be.

I started out as a nudist just like everyone else – the day I was born. But I was soon covered up in clothes and made to believe that was the way it should be. Years later, when I started living on my own, I got into walking around the house naked and discovered it was such a great feeling.

Mis pensamientos sobre el nudismo: Para mí, hacer nudismo es más que despojarse de la ropa, es un gesto radical. Es una declaración de principios que elimina las barreras sociales, los prejuicios y esos cánones absurdos y asfixiantes que nos imponemos sobre nuestros propios cuerpos.
