I've thought for some time that China had surpassed the US, both economically and even socially (think universal healthcare and support for starting a business). If Maga succeeds at establishing an autocracy here, we won't even be able to claim "freedom" as an advantage here. Just sayin'.

Obviously California has issues but this defense of their policies by Newsom is worth watching. TN is a low tax state - for the top. regressive for the bottom. our services and laws punish working people also (bottom in infant & maternal mortality, poverty, school spending, violent crime, etc..)
