The Nationals and Cade Cavalli are nearing a contract extension that would buy out at least one of his free agent years, per source. Young staff ace still has 3 years of arbitration eligibility, wouldn't be free agent until 2030. (FanSided's Robert Murray was first to report nearing a deal.)

Clemson, Maryland and North Carolina are return games of series started last year. Hoyas' participation in the San Diego MTE (Texas + UCLA or Saint Mary's) was announced last November. That's all of the non-bottom 75 foes but one (Navy, which had some major graduation losses).

Those Lehigh teams played like Cassese did as a midfielder at Duke in the early 2000s: Tough, physical, rugged, unrelenting. Will be curious to see what his staff looks like. He's obviously plenty familiar with the Cavaliers' roster and recruiting.
