I’m still baffled that Joe Brady can figure out how to hire a special teams coach and Sean McVay cannot.

Rams special teams came into Week 5 ranked 32nd in DVOA. They've been 26th or worse in four of the last five seasons. Maybe the one thing McVay can't figure out, and it continues to cost them games.

Rams lose because of special teams again. It’s ridiculous that a Super Bowl favorite will be taken out because of it.

They violated laws on the books? Instead of enforcing those, let’s just pass laws that they also violated and will violate and punishments will not be pursued.

I’d imagine if you also told them Trump believed he was “beyond legal limit,” they might come with some ideas.

I seem to remember a bunch of elven mariners getting slaughtered for their boats to help start the whole thing off.

I think I remember them sending Shakir in that type of motion a few times and then finally getting it to him that time. Do I remember that right and if so, what did they do the other plays when Josh didn’t go to him?

Every great oline in the league still has to fill gaps with kinda average guys or even below average guys, leverage what strengths those guys have, and do a good job coaching teamwork and scheme.

Matthews, Bergeron, and Lindstrom are really good! Their QBs just suck.

Ed will be back too. Maybe even TJ. Both could help the Bills with more quick pressure.

Probably the Bills. The Dline looks close and has flashes. McConkey is alright but I don’t see the Chargers receivers giving the Bills secondary the same problems as Nico and Detroit. They get the rest advantage. I believe in the secondary talent as well.

Game winning TD against Houston was from the pocket. Just a dime. First down to Keon in the middle just hung in the pocket and took a hit. If the line doesn’t get pressure and contain, no delay blitz will work and he might just get it over those guys to an open guy in the space vacated.

But he doesn’t do this every time. He hits intermediate routes and seams all the time. He’s not one dimensional just gotta get pressure with 4 and sometimes 5 and hope coverage holds up by disguising coverages and having good man coverage.

czarthomas.bsky.social @czarthomas.bsky.social · 18/09/2026
Nah, if they’re spying, Shakir, Kincaid, Knox are all good enough slot options to get to the hole in the zone at seams or if the safeties are deep because 3 vertical routes are run, that’ll open digs or deep crossers at the second level because a spy can’t drop deep enough.
001
czarthomas.bsky.social @czarthomas.bsky.social · 18/09/2026
Keon was able to run those out routes and get open. If you rush 3, pressure isn’t gonna come and then even mid WRs can get open running across the formation.

czarthomas.bsky.social @czarthomas.bsky.social · 18/09/2026
He’ll stand in the pocket and attack intermediate routes and the seam. Also, teams spy him a lot and he will evade the spy frequently when he scrambles.

I’m out on fantasy football because it generates at least 3 major controversies a year where someone threatens to quit and not pay and people can’t schedule anything for shit. Draft season is the same time every year and yet no one can make any time whatsoever every single year.

"RFK Jr.’s insertion as secretary of HHS is a direct rebuke to her legacy. Heumann contracted polio in 1949 when she was one and a half years old. The intentional spread of mass disablement and death by discouraging vaccination and medical research would have absolutely horrified her."

His jump cuts are just so well timed and devastating. LBs and nickels think they have him pinned in and then all of a sudden it’s an equal footrace to the edge. Also, the Josh Allen has no help thing is an insult to olinemen.

Only 2 games in but the Bills run defense has looked a ton better. Filling gaps better. Much better second effort too.

Feels like the Bills super run heavy offenses from the last two years serving them well now. They can just shift into first gear and plow over defenses, something they couldn’t reliably do in Josh’s early years.

(4) The most successful rich countries and empires, even when committing atrocities, most successfully innovate via assimilation and contact with other cultures (5) no good evidence that creative innovative minds are limited to any culture, race, or group

(1) We can’t predict what the rich countries will be in the future (2) Rich countries have often destroyed innovation because of their myopia (demonstrated by the very comment here) (3) usually cheaper to save lives in “poor” countries

Understand that the centrist picture of the swing voter is a moderate when in reality they are non-ideological and low info and they are swayed by personality and a biased media ecosystem. That second point can be swayed rather than capitulated to because they’re open to the system being rigged.

Best example of triangulation working is Bill Clinton and he won because Ross Perot ran as a third party to take some racist nativists out of the picture and an economic downturn.

They are probably not aware that their sober triangulation is merely a rhetorical form that appeals to them rather than actual political substance that neither solves problems nor appeals to everyone else at all times.

They also probably don’t understand that democracy isn’t just voting but exercising free speech to criticize politicians and political parties. They also don’t understand that marginalized groups have never been liberated or recognized by staying silent.

Quick reminder that a lot of people claiming to be staunch supporters of trans rights attacking trans people for criticizing democrats backtracking on trans rights might not actually be staunch supporters of trans rights. They also don’t possess genius level political persuasion skills.

Falcons haven’t had a winning season since 2017. 2013, 2014 were both losing seasons. The Vick era had 5-11 and 7-9 seasons smattered in there. I feel for Falco fans. They don’t have a good sense of what high quality is.

It’d be informative to interview pitchers on their target preference. Some might like the target where the pitch will end up. Others might want the target where it “feels” like they’re throwing the pitch. And then there might be other preferences around that.
