You see it now right. The goal of the messaging becomes clearer. Dimishment is only one step in a progrom of erasure. Rewrite history, redefine your enemy, and then erase him. We seen this pattern before, but now we have the tools to formulate a strategy to neutralize this attack.

Why did this happen? Nike is in the middle of a stock buy back. Maybe they wanted to depress their stock price during this process. It would save them a lot of money. A drop in sales from African Americans could easily be written off as temporary.
