I wonder if Rare will function as an in-house replacement for Toys for Bob, since the latter split off from Activision after the XBOX buyout. That's the only scenario that makes sense to me.

Also, I've gotta say that some of these moves are questionable. Moving Halo under Activision kinda makes sense, since they currently manage the most successful FPS franchise. Obsidian under Bethesda, though, is weird, and I hope their work doesn't significantly worsen under the new management.

Oh yeah, and for the Halo fans out there, one thing I forgot to mention in this thread was that, since Halo is going to Activision, and their games go everywhere, rather than being exclusive to just one platform, what does that mean for future Halo games?

I am curious to see how well (or many) Android apps run on the x86 Googlebooks, and if we get the ability to run desktop Linux apps on them, because if that's possible, the "app gap" shrinks significantly for those specific Googlebooks.

If I'm going purely based on hardware, I'd probably go with the HP Googlebook 14 if I was getting a Googlebook. It's ARM (which Android apps are already designed for), and it's got a USB-C port on both sides (which a lot of Windows Snapdragon laptops don't have).

Also, while I'm glad there's a Linux terminal on Googlebooks, I still don't know if it has the ability to install desktop Linux apps, like ChromeOS (partially) does now. All they showed were command line tools like genAI agents.
