I'm tracking this system closely for a possible #hurricane chase over the weekend in the Florida panhandle. AI models have uptrended quite a bit overnight, and the system is expected to have a favorable jet interaction until just before landfall. With around 25% odds it becomes a major hurricane,

While Hurricane #Polo is currently over cooler waters estimated at around 55F, it is expected to enter waters 30 DEGREES WARMER, up to around 88F (31C) which will help give the #hurricane another boost in intensity. A second Category 5 peak cannot be ruled out. #wx
