Junior rider Seff Van Kerckhove had signed a contract to stay with Decathlon-CMA CGM until 2030, riding with U23 team, then turning pro. Now Directvélo reports he's switched to Visma-LAB, will join his brother Matisse there. Wider significance is even juniors breaking contracts to move teams now.

no matter what the decision will be, this yoyoing about his participation absolutely challenged my fundamental principles about pro cycling. might drop some lines about that tomorrow if anyone's interested.

cycling, what a sport. what a winner. what a strategy from usa. what a climbing performance from matthews, van der poel and pedersen. crazy to think road season is over in 22 days. :(

it really doesn't. and while I don’t want to hide from responsibility, I’m in the thick of this, but when news is explicitly only about Pauline, while the first thing me and probably many others noticed at the Barcelona team presentation was how super-skinny Pogi looked... words about that? nada.

don't want to juggle with BMI indexes but some may... if it's done in a way where we're still in the safe category, it's completely fine. but PFP's last year (if I take PCS data right) was into extremes, and that's where the problem lied to me. illegitimate and unfair? at second glance, not at all

100

Czigelmajer Bence @cycloben2.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

Plus the heat which she takes worse than others but shit happens, this is okay. I mean, i wanted to see if she can win legitimately without going way too hard on herself and it won't happen this year. But fuck it, seriously, jumping on me like eagles? Fuck everything basically now.

maybe here I'll find some more understanding cause I got massacred for what my opinion is about Pauline Ferrand-Prévot. i honestly don't know what to do. yes, I feel her victory last year was overshadowed by the anomalies about her weight and yes, it somehow backfires this year.

this actually answers all my questions, but still, he needs to avoid getting involved in sprints cause the 24 seconds he conceded (with bonis) on the last 2 sprints are way too much. especially if he's gonna get beaten on the ITT. tomorrow, he should close all ?-s for second place battle.

home race this week, two very flat stages, a tricky final kilometre on Thursday, queen stage on Saturday and Sunday which may be disrupted by strong, almost 80 km/h winds & rain Tour de Hongrie will have everything this year, typical example of the 'don't judge the book by cover' types of races! :)
