Rails snapped on my Brooks B17 narrow. £60 to send off and have it fixed. Annoying as that's more than I paid for it + it's happened twice on my other Brooks saddle. Annoying. --> Convoluted home repair.

Stopped by plod this morning outside Barbican for setting off at the end of the pedestrian phase (no one crossing). It's all black and white to these guys! But I've always reasoned that if one doesn't notice them at the exit then one is not paying enough attention - so fair enough.

In 2024 Walthamstow's only red phone box was a working antique piece. BT had just repaired it after my request. Three months later it was stripped out and locked up, instead becoming a mini greenhouse to grow a window sill's worth of herbs. Very worthy but very pointless. Today it looks like this
