Wow. How dumb can you get? Then again, Americans did vote Trump into power and that was rather dumb.

Totally agree with this summary. She has clearly demonstrated in her votes that she does not support active transportation.

Photo from Reddit of today’s Critical Mass. There are hundreds of cyclists in this photo and only about 40 people in cars. Yet both groups are taking up roughly the same amount of road space.

"Why are we treated like cars by the law, but like obnoxious and unwelcome obstructions by people in cars?" Flyer for the very first Critical Mass ride, which took place on September 25, 1992 in San Francisco. Critical Mass rides have since been held in hundreds of cities around the world.

Aren't you sick and tired of having to fight for your life on city streets? Why are we treated like cars by the law, but like obnoxious and unwelcome obstructions by people in cars? Where are we supposed to go?

Anyone using weather as an excuse to advocate against safe biking infrastructure is a counterfactual asshole. Some of the cities around the world that have the highest rates of transit riding have real winter conditions. Riders deserve to get home alive even if it is chilly out.

VERY Nice. Cycling in the dunes is my favourite place to cycle in the Netherlands. We like to stay in Haarlem too. Cheaper and quieter than Amsterdam. There are more museums in Haarlem than any other city in the Netherlands. Lots to see.

Here’s one for the council of District of Oak Bay. Can you picture this bike on the Carrick Trail? It would never fit, yet council calls it a ‘bikeway’. Pathetic.

Have you been to Den Hague? Birthplace of my husband. And just a short bike ride to the dunes and the beautiful beach of Scheveningen.

Request a Lawn Sign
Oak Bay heavily restricts where lawn signs can go, so we need your help to host them and get the word out!

The protest in Oak Bay against active transportation is always about the dam parking. It‘s not my responsibility as a resident to ensure residents have street parking in front of their house.

The War on Cars @thewaroncars.bsky.social · 30/08/2026
On the one hand, some people want to make it so that kids and other people aren't crushed to death by cars. On the other hand, some people are upset that they might have to pay attention, slow down or be inconvenienced by about 15 seconds. So you can see how it's a "war on cars."

Stop telling pedestrians and cyclists what to do to stay safe and just force drivers not to be dangerous by design.

Whats smelly is Erik Zhelka’s comment. And he misses a BIG point. You can’t walk or cycle to the depot, you have to have a Vehicle, anything else is not allowed. So this facility is a great idea because you can walk or cycle to it.
