week 3 of my ear infection and the pain and swelling is down in my right ear, i just have tinnitus and some hearing loss. my left ear has decided it wants to be evil and it ruptured so i have migrating pain on that side plus blood leaking out my ear. very fun times.

depends on the school but a lot of self-taught artists didn't learn from school and learned on sites and communities like deviantart, where the "no tracing" sentiment wasn't explained clearly for a younger more novice audience, so a lot of people got the impression that tracing a photo ref was bad

unfortunately nicotine is one of the most addictive substances in the world and most of the generic tips suck bc care has to be highly individualized. u gotta use full on dbt techniques when u get cravings. biggest tip is to mitigate withdrawal symptoms first, then avoid triggers and redirect urges

it's a linguistics thing! it's taught in public speaking that you avoid filler words like "like, um, uh" etc because it can make your point feel like it's not a confident statement, but our brain needs filler words so people often repeat smaller words or transitional words like or, because, maybe.

that age group is so funny and charming because they'll be scared of the silliest things. i remember nannying for a four year old who loved drawing vampires with lots of blood, but friendly cartoon skeletons were so scary she'd cry if she saw them. it's so endearing
