Com'on Ollie's... who do you think you are, Target?

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

Finally, something serious that definitely Grinds my Gears... e-Scooters. Can we get some actual fucking laws around these things please? How many people need to get hit and die before some legislation is put into place. They are far to fast, and offer zero protection to the rider. Stop this shit!

010

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

and another thing that really Grinds my Gears... Construction! Do we have to tear up the entire city every year? You just fix that section last year, what could possibly need improving a year later? My dead Grandmother could work faster... Lets go!!!

000

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

Sticking with driving... y'know what else really Grinds My Gears? Poky Drivers? If you are doing less than the speed limit, then you're going to slow, and are holding everyone else up! Get the lead out, or get out of my way!

000

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

y'know what really grinds my gears? Left Lane Campers! You know who you are, and some of you do it on purpose... most are just stupid. It is not responsibility to police the speed of other people. If someone wants to go faster than you, fine. Get the fuck out of their way (when it's safe to do so).

My LCS is selling busted G1 figures for dirt cheap... what's a "dirt cheap" G1 you ask? $5 Crazy! Their parts are worth more then that alone.

My LCS acquired an insane G1 collection, and I got my first look today. There's not one, but four Canadian Red Faced Slags!

Really excited about the news out of Mastermind Creations this evening. The long awaited R-54 Optus Seiko is coming! I was in the room for the 3rd Party Panel at TFcon when this was announced. It will be sold by itself as well as paired with a rerelease of Optus Pexus.

Recently I checked a pretty big item off my want list. I managed to get myself an Incredible Hulk 181, along with a Beta Sol Ring from my LCS in a trade. The amount that I am stoaked cannot be measured. #Graded #Comic #Wolverine #MTG #SolRing

I've been meaning to do it for a long time now, but last night I went through all the comics I own that are on the list of ones containing Marvel Value Stamps to see if I had any missing... and I do. Four of them, and one of them is a pretty decent book right now.

I had this as a poster on my wall as a kid. I'm not a Montreal Canadiens fan, but even then could appreciate the simplicity and beauty of the image. Once I found a good copy of the card, I got it graded.

G1 Optimus Prime & Megatron Seeing as today is a religious celebration of death, I thought it was only fitting to show the two figures whos characters died for their causes. Everyone should have a G1 Optimus Prime in their collections. Megatron on the other hand... he's tough.

010

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 02/04/2026

G1 Headmasters - Skullcruncher (with Grax) Who doesn't love a ridiculous Alligator Transformer that can eat it's own head? It wasn't the best alt. mode, but it made for interesting battles. The Titans Return version gave him more articulation, but lost the chunk... if you know what I mean.

000

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 01/04/2026

G1 Mini-Cassette Combiner - Squawkbox (Squawktalk + Beastbox) The second of the two Mini-Cassette Combiners that were imported into the North American Transformers line (Japan got others). This also gives us our first Ape Transformer, which would become important later in Beast Wars.

Some old pictures from when I worked at Toys R Us (Canada) back in 2013. These show the Canadian carded Thrilling 30 Deluxe figures, Evasion Mode Optimus Prime and Grimlock Voyager figures from Age of Extinction, and some Prime Beast Hunters stuff. #transformers #toysrus #optimusprime #grimlock

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 31/03/2026

G1 Ninja Consultant - Sixshot Easily one of the best G1 Transformer figures. Sixshot is a must have for any collection, and once you get one, you don't know how you survived without. Some of Sixshots best moments in the cartoon came in the Japanese Headmaster series, where he killed Ultra Magnus.

111

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 30/03/2026

G1 Powermaster - Slapdash (with Lube) Listen... the jokes write themselves, but I'm eagerly awaiting the comments on this one. The Powermaster gimmick was a fun change to the master play pattern, that allowed the user to lock the "Powermaster" into the spot on the vehicle to enable transformation.

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 27/03/2026

G1 Headmasters - Hardhead Another brick from the post '86 movie era of G1. When you really look at the designs of Transformer figures, you can really pinpoint when Hasbro took over toy design, and the Diaclone well ran dry. #Transformers #Hardhead #Headmasters #G1 #Autobot

010

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 26/03/2026

G1 Mini-Cassette Combiner - Slamdance (Grand Slam + Raindance) I have fond memories of Slamdance from when I was a kid, and I can even remember the exact moment I bought it. I question whether Slamdance should be considered a Duocon, as his components parts have no robot mode on their own.

010

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 25/03/2026

G1 Micromaster - Blackout and Spaceshot with Anti-Aircraft Base As I've gone over before in these posts (see submission history), the Micromaster bases were peak Transformers for their play pattern, and value. Kids who weren't able to get their hands on a large Citybot, could play at a small scale.

130

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 24/03/2026

G1 Headmasters - Weirdwolf (with Monzo) I'm starting to run out of late G1 figures that I've taken pictures of... I'm going to have to settle in a snap some more pics. Anyway, Weirdwolf is a brick in every sense of the word. Some of the worst articulation out of all the Headmaster figures.

000

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 23/03/2026

G1 Hwadmasters - Chromedome (with Stylor) A character that really shined in IDW's MTMTE run, Chromedome had previously been part of the main cast that the shortened season 4 used... unless you watched the Headmasters season, then you got to see lots of them.

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 20/03/2026

G1 Double Agent - Punch-Counterpunch The only Triple-Changer in G1 with two Robot Modes... perhaps all of Transformers! Recently I've decided that the Autobot identity of Punch is the primary one, and that he adopts the secondary Decepticon identity of Counterpunch. #Transformers #G1 #Autobot

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 19/03/2026

G1 Pretender - Bludgeon One of the baddest characters in all of Transformers lore. Trained in the ancient Cybertronian martial art of Metallikato. Bludgeon is one of the few Pretender figures that have been getting new figures over the years, but never a Pretender like the original from 1989.

040

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 18/03/2026

G1 Headmaster - Mindwipe (with Vorath) I always wondered why the Decepticons on got three Headmasters to the Autobot four... I mean it didn't keep me up at night, but it was a question I asked myself. Mindwipe had the ability to brainwash others, and that set him apart from the other Headmasters.

100

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 17/03/2026

G1 Pretenders - Groundbreaker Is his chest a cat face? Yes, so... he transformers into some kind of cat? No. An animal? No. Is that a car? WTF? I don't know what the point of Groundbreaker is, but it's G1... so I love it! Note: I do have his other weapon. Misplaced it at the time of picture

021

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 16/03/2026

G1 Headmaster - Nightbeat (with Muzzle) Nightbeat is another one of those G1 toys that Marvel comic writer Simon Furman latched onto, and gave lots character development to. The story "Matrix Quest" is a particular standout. The Nightbeat toy was repainted into Minerva for Super-God Masterforce.

000

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 13/03/2026

G1 Micromaster Base - Groundshaker with ATV If you never had any of the large city bases, then hopefully you had one of the Micromaster bases. As mentioned before, these were created to in direct competition with Micro Machines, and as someone who had both... Transformers did it better.

021

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 12/03/2026

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 11/03/2026

G1 Headmaster - Hosehead (with Lug) I don't remember having Inferno as a kid, but I did have Hosehead, and I LOVED this figure! This chunky Fire Truck had lots of play value, plus the G1 gimmick of having unreasonably small guns for no logical reason, that you immediately lost. #Transformers #G1

030

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 10/03/2026

G1 Headmasters - Brainstorm (with Arcana) Brainstorm got a bit of characterization in the three episode 4th season of the G1 cartoon. But nothing compares to the sheer amount depth James Roberts brought to him (and his briefcase) in the More Than Meets The Eye comic from IDW. #Brainstorm #Arcana

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 09/03/2026

G1 Pretenders - Stranglehold It wouldn't be an 80's toyline if a figure didn't have an epic mustache! Stranglehold has been called an homage to Burt Reynolds, Tom Selleck, & even Sean Connery. Either way, a classic mustache for an overall very basic figure. #Transrformers #Stranglehold #Mustache

131

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 06/03/2026

G1 Pretender Beasts - Chainclaw The one thing a Grizzy Bear needed... a double-barreled machine gun! If Pretenders we already, then Pretender Beasts were crazy! To be a Hasbro designer at that time would have been awesome. #Transformers #Chainclaw #Pretender #Beast #G1

020

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 05/03/2026

G1 Decepticon Clones - Pounce & Wingspan In my opinion, the better of the two clone pairs. Pounce and Wingspan's transformation completely changes their look in alt mode, where the Autobot clones simply appear to be a folded version of their robot modes. #Transformers #Pounce #Wingspan #G1 #Clones

020

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 04/03/2026

G1 Autobot Clones - Fastlane & Cloudraker As a kid I never understood the appeal of these figures, but as an adult I can see the genius of making two figures look the same in robot mode, and completely different in alt mode. Very clever. #Transformers #Fastlane #Cloudraker #G1 #Autobot #Clones

010

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 03/03/2026

G1 Powermaster - Doubledealer Finally, a figure that has a modern representation. If you've ever messed with the G1 version, you know that the Powermaster gimmick was an integral part of the transformation, and many figures were broken because we forgot to put the Powermaster in. #Transformers

021

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 02/03/2026

G1 Firecons - Cindersaur, Flamefeather, and Sparkstalker A trio of odd little guys that wouldn't pass the safety tests these days, but definitely got a lot of play in the 80's. #Transformers #Firecons #G1

010

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 28/02/2026

My son watching the final scene of Transformers One. He's absolutely enthralled. It's a true masterpiece, and I don't care what anyone says. So disappointed that there won't be a sequel.

010

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 27/02/2026

G1 Headmaster - Siren While not exactly rare, this North American repaint of Takara's Goshooter is likely as close as I'll get to owning one. The Headmaster Junior's transformation wasn't fancy, but it got the point across, and gave you a couple really small guns to loose in the process.

000

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 26/02/2026

G1 Mega Pretender - Thunderwing Thunderwing was one of very few Pretenders to get significant character development in the Marvel comic, which led to him becoming a very popular character with fans. It didn't hurt that the toy was pretty awesome! #Transformers #Thunderwing #Pretenders #G1

G1 Slag (Canadian "Red Faced" Variant) Being a Canadian G1 Collector, this was a grail of mine for a very long time, and finding his Missile Launcher is still on my list of "Highly Unlikely Parts to Find", but having this in my collection feels extremely patriotic for me. #Transformers #Slag #CAN

Darryl (Cybertronian Beast) @cybertronianbeast.bsky.social · 24/02/2026

G1 Mega Pretender - Crossblades If you really squint, you can imagine that Crossblades turns into a Helicopter. But these Mega Pretenders were more about the play pattern, rather than the realistic looks. #Trnasformers #Crossblades #Pretenders #G1 #Autobot
