Each mosaic was stitched and processed separately, then blended to combine the RGB data with the Ha signal. This area of the sky has always been one of my favorites. It’s a striking mix of emission, reflection, and dark nebulae—and it carries personal meaning.

In reality, the nebula lies about 1,300 light years from Earth, while the galaxy is much further away, at more than 100 million light years away, so the galaxy will be safe :) This is the full field of view I was able to capture.
