Q: What is the movie that came out before you were born that you’ve watched the most times? A: Yojimbo (1961). I just love Akira Kurosawa's camerawork. And Toshiro Mifune is at his best there too.

Autumn look. Not autumn. This is a false colour infrared shot made back in 2010 at the north end of Yoyogi Park. Heard the crows overhead. Waited about 15mins for one to fly in to my frame. And, with this, it’s goodnight. Be good. Be better than good. Be great. See you tomorrow. ❤️🙏🏻

I don't much care about box cameras. They mostly feel - and are - crude and cheap. So it is nice to find one which is neither: Ernemann Film K 6x9, manufactured from 1920 to 1926 (see ALT for details) #believeinfilm #filmphotography #artdeco #boxcamera

Ernemann Film K 6x9 box camera, manufactured from 1920 to 1926. Design is simple but stylish early Art Deco with quality leather covering.
The shutter is rather peculiar: it is backwards, that is the shutter is in front of the lens. Also the available aperture and speed options are weird: B with f/25, B with f/12,5 and 1/25(ish) with only f/12,5. aperture available.

Ernemann's beatifully crafted wooden interior: most of the camera is real wood with just a minimum amount of metal parts.

This camera has been bought new from Nyblin's, the oldest photographic studio (est. 1877) in Finland (and still in business).
The quality viewfinder has a ground glass window instead of the double lens systen often found on cheaper box cameras.
