Oh! if VGP is selling it it definitely won't be an issue for me. Thanks!

All hands on deck! Ross explains how the EU Kids Act could end #StopKillingGames by collapsing the EU gaming market! youtu.be/mQRcK9nYg9g "The best thing you can do is spread the word...The people who write this crap do not like it when the public at large knows what they're trying to do to you"

This could legitimately end Stop Killing Games.

last time the US did this, we had 700k covid deaths because bolsonaro refused to get vaccines in time and before that, we spent 24 years in a dictatorship; our latest democracy is only 38 years old and it's being threatened once again we cannot let another bolsonaro be the president again

It's true. He's never looked BAD but I really like how big his eyes are in this short. I'm glad they went with something similar to this for Looney Tunes Cartoons.

The system seller thing is weird to me because I feel like it already has, or is getting those. Like despite not being the biggest game in the world DK seems like that, Pokopia's does as well. Then of course there's Winds and Waves next year. And also Mario Kart, which has discourse the

Nintendo is weird about games they announce so far in advance, it took so long to even hear anything about Fire Emblem Fortunes Weave. It would certainly be nice though, I just don't expect it.

This fucking rules! I love how the staff may as well just be a club in DK's hands lol.

In what way? Outside of the speed almost all of Pizza Tower's base mechanics are directly inspired by things Wario Land did first lol. (not saying that's a bad thing, ofc.)

I never got why people act like Ware and Land can't coexist

They should announce a 2D Donkey Kong game. That's my hopium dream. My actual expectation is probably like a Kirby or something for the big big announcement.

I never got why they made her this super scientist type in the first place, it wasn't even really a thing before. Outside of the episode with her rocket I can't recall her building any kind of gadgets before season 4-5ish.

CybaSpecta - Comms Open! @cybaspecta.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

I see so many people be like "they're not instantly recognizable to your average player" or "they were only in one game" for characters like Skull Kid, for instance, but like. I feel like that shouldn't matter, they should be exciting to the people who already are fans of the series they're from.

Doesn't he even say that he does respect RPGs, and he genuinely just doesn't really click with them. And even when they do he drops them because in the time it would take to beat one he could have played like 5 shorter games?

000

CybaSpecta - Comms Open! @cybaspecta.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

God forbid someone not click with a genre, huh? Also wasn't that SNK thing like literally 7 years ago or something.

CybaSpecta - Comms Open! @cybaspecta.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

Plus like. it led to the complaint of "God ANOTHER Nintendo character? Come on!" which is a weird thing to hear about a game series that is largely a celebration of Nintendo.

I always hated the "relevancy" thing in Smash discussion. It's the biggest part of why I wish Smash would go back to doing less third party stuff. People would always complain about this sort of thing of course but it really got heightened during Ultimate speculation.

CybaSpecta - Comms Open! @cybaspecta.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

I mean they aren't but there's more of a disconnect with DK than there is with something like Luigi's Mansion or Yoshi's island I feel, so i at least get why people say so.

000

CybaSpecta - Comms Open! @cybaspecta.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

It's like if they were to put Marth in the Zelda movie and their reasoning is "well. It's a medieval fantasy world, so it fits!"

040

CybaSpecta - Comms Open! @cybaspecta.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Though we can at least take solace in knowing that, even if Mario kart does do crossovers. It won't be as bad as the shit Sonic Racing Crossworlds is doing, that shit is ACTUAL Fortniteslop.

030

CybaSpecta - Comms Open! @cybaspecta.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

if Fox gets in the game before DK or Pauline even get a second outfit I'm gonna be pissed off lmao. I didn't mind the crossover stuff in 8 Deluxe but I hate that it made so many people be like "It should be NINTENDO KART now!" like if it's just Fox whatever but if they add the entire crew, fuck that

130

CybaSpecta - Comms Open! @cybaspecta.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

What's your take on more DK characters being put into Mario Kart? Like they're seperate enough to be considered a crossover but to me it still feels like a shame Diddy and Funky weren't in the game at launch.

Also know when to take a break. If you leave something for an hour or so and come back with a clearer head I often find myself doing it first try when I come back or at least having a much easier time with it.

I do like this one a lot. Though honourable mention to the one in the little winter arc where she's asking for Anya's phone because she stayed up watching infomercials.
