WAmiya comm for a GOATed friend 😎👍

W and Amiya from Arknights. They are standing facing each other, with Amiya looking up at W. In the background, Amiya can be seen playfully putting her hand up to W's chin.

The people in charge of our workplace have an obsession with racehorses, particularly Secretariat, which is what our cluster is named after. There is even a plaque of the horse outside the server room. Kris and I are considering hanging another plaque of Symboli Rudolf next to it.

Also we watched Weapons this morning as part of our celebrations and it is a fantastic movie. I think it muddies the water on its themes a bit in the last act, but it's in service of completing the narrative in a thrilling and compelling way, so I forgive it. 9/10.

We made Machu and Nyaan for our anniversary!!!! Thank you so much @tropical-maccaw.bsky.social for the wonderful gift, as well, and I look forward to many lovely years together building things <3

I play Uma Musume PvP the way the developers intended: I don't chase meta, I face tank 5 losses in team trials every day, I flop in every tournament, and I stay happy about it. You people who take it seriously out there, remember your victories are built off the backs of people like me.

Like finding a secret "real" version of the US Constitution that had an extra line about how if humans start growing tails we have to put them in the fucking Senate, it's just so stupid and it works backwards in terms of logic about New Types. And then there's the way the show treats New Types! Agh!

Abigail @cutercattz.bsky.social · 28/09/2025

okay this one got me thank you

Abigail @cutercattz.bsky.social · 28/09/2025

Yes, exactly!!!! Like, this extra article is simultaneously this all-powerful edict that has allowed the Vist foundation to steer almost 100 years of Earth Federation governing but as soon as it might actually do something the show wants to walk it back and be like, "Oh but no one might care"

Abigail @cutercattz.bsky.social · 28/09/2025

I was literally just complaining about this to someone after waking up today, Top 10 Method for coming up with some bullshit that doesn't actually refute the point being made and turns into some ideologically hollow hogwash.

Abigail @cutercattz.bsky.social · 28/09/2025

"There's an extra article on the charter" is going to be stuck in my head for weeks as one of the single dumbest reveals I've ever seen in my life. Genuinely affronted.

Yeah, I have been a GM for over a decade now and there have been groups that I knew my style was not for, and groups that I have changed or adapted my style to. It does take a very specific kind of person to enjoy the type of service a GM has to play in a roleplay group, it's not a role for everyone

Three chapters of Wamiya fanfic are written and are in the process of being lovingly edited, a link to them will be posted when that process is done - hopefully Monday.
