If you’re waiting to be told you’re strategic, you’re not. Start framing your value in relation to business targets. Invest the bulk of your effort toward these goals.

If your calendar is full but your growth is flat, you’re working inside a broken system. It’s time to fix the machine; working harder won’t get you where you need to go. It will just lead you to burnout.

Smart professionals aren’t scared of AI. They use it to amplify their insight and accelerate their execution. AI is a tool; it’s only as good as the inputs you give it. Garbage in, garbage out; or quality in, quality out. You’re the critical component.

Make it easy for your manager to advocate on your behalf. That starts with consistent, business-focused updates. Impact starts with clearly communicated metrics.

Leadership is shown in how you process challenges, especially under pressure. Be the person who sees the pattern and identifies the fix; CALMLY!

You’re one prompt away from clarity. Let AI help you brainstorm solutions, summarize and structure reports, and prepare for performance conversations.

Most careers stall because there’s no feedback loop. Strategic systems create momentum through: Visibility + Results + Reflection. Tweak the plan and realign your compass with each feedback loop cycle.

You won’t get promoted if you’re invisible. But you will if your name is tied to outcomes that your leadership talks about.

What you don’t systematize can’t scale; and what doesn’t scale won’t get you promoted. Build, scale, quantify, and document as you go.

If you keep solving problems no one truly cares about, you’ll stay busy, but you won’t be promotable. Focus on problems aligned with leadership’s goals and objectives. Did you improve a key business segment? Focus on impacting these, and you’ll find yourself on the short list for promotion.

You don’t get promoted to leadership. You show up as a leader, and the promotion follows.

You don’t need to impress everyone; just those with authority over your career progression. A strategic system ensures your work reaches the right people, where it matters most.

If your results live in a spreadsheet, they aren’t visible. Bring your value to life with story, relevance, and timing. Create live dashboards for your team. Communicate upwards with periodic reports on the same metrics. Tell a story by translating those metrics into business impact.

You’re not stuck; you’re doing things too manually. Systematize the valuable and delegate the rest. This will enable you to move more efficiently and focus your energy on value-added projects rather than maintenance tasks.

This article demonstrates a high level of emotional intelligence from Olsen. He's competing against himself. It doesn't matter what others are doing, or whether it's even fair (in this scenario, Brady's fame gives him an unfair advantage). Olsen keeps his focus on personal growth. Great article.

The scariest part of the stock market is that most valuations are built on the back of hedge fund speculation, rather than real returns. Look at some of the triple-digit P/E ratios (or nonexistent for that matter) in the S&P 500, and we should all be terrified. But I've been saying this for decades

This is such a sad truth. Partisan "journalism" is the only type that pays well. It's led society further down the polarization black hole because we have no common-sense voice reaching the mainstream. The algorithm pushes outrage, while real journalism gets buried. I wish you luck; we all need it

Can you explain how AI will take over jobs that are considered dangerous? I'm on board with the mundane jobs; they've been eliminating those with systems, processes, and technology for decades, but what about the dangerous ones? How will it replace riggers, dock workers, patch workers, or loggers?

One of the best lessons I've learned from a book is from "The E-Myth Revisited" by Michael Gerber, which describes a hotel that created an astounding standard operating procedure to ensure a perfect guest experience every single time. Any industry can be fulfilling and rewarding; make it your own.
