I wish StarCraft had moar books so I could see a different primal Zerg talk about their philosophy like dehaka

I haven't touched this account in too long so I'll just point out the 10th edition eldar codex has the eldar gods shaking the warp

I want leman to free Isha so the barely standing leman who succeeds gets his ass saved by a giant elf goddess that poles nurgle's eyes.

Mojang is at least good at one thing - making little guys we get overly attached to

I've noticed that populism has increasingly become more and more entirely associated with the far right. People shouldn't give them ground and should point out their populism is fake as shit. Do some more left leaning populist messaging instead of giving them free reign over that aspect of politics

Ultrakill scaling thread because I feel like it. Art-Code_Zzero on Twitter. I have too establish that due to no lore feats of power of speed from terminals we'll be taking game mechanics at face value in reason. So sandbox stuff won't be taken into account but dashing faster than an explosion will

Something interesting. In ultrakill we know the earthmovers died but they're in hell anyway. There's also the guttermen and guttertanks that were the first 2 models of blood bot but they're in violence. But not earlier. Which makes me think they got sent to hell in death like how the humans

Turns out both this and growing it out of the local ore like a plant have both been a thing since 2nd. GW just didn't mention it this time. No retcons. No mass delusions. It's a nothingburger

Turns out wraithbone being sung into existence wasn't a thing? It was all headcannon??? I can't find singing shit from older codexes

cursedpetra.bsky.social @cursedpetra.bsky.social · 08/02/2025

Got to be kidding me. Wraithbone as of the 10th edition Aeldari codex is no longer a material sung into existence via space elf magic but something made of "minerals, ores and compounds". Also the second part sounds AI generated so it might be that. But that's me speculating.

A screenshot of the 10th edition Aeldari codex saying "The wraithbone substance from which each craftworld is wrought is a composite material formed from various compounds, ores and minerals; it is as much grown as it is forged. Specialist Aeldari psykers, known as Bonesingers, can subtly manipulate wraithbone, encouraging it to grow and expand into the shape they require. The craftworlds are the finest surviving examples of this wondrous craft.

Craftworlds may differ significantly in form, size and internal layout, but all possess several critical pieces of infrastructure. One such location is a craftworld's central Webway portal. The Webway portal's importance to a craftworld's continued existence means it is often housed deep within the superstructure, offering greater protection should the vessel be boarded."

Within the halls of E’Fumbrion lies a witch who’s name has only ever been uttered thrice, for in threes has her path unfolded. Three were the number of fates severed, three the souls bound within her breast, three the thrones she lorded over and three fold her eventual exile.

Arguments on forums so quickly devolve into arguments as dumb as the third person narrator can't randomly just describe past the POV of a character like every other 3rd person narrator does. Like people do the dumbest shit while desperate

I sometimes wonder what the hell the mechanicus would make using SC minerals. Like in lore you poke them while they're melted chemically speaking and tada you have depleted uranium.

Fun fact. Khaine was gonna stab the warp during his temper tantrum way before the fall of the eldar. Fucked up

Thread of my rough map on Starcraft FTL speeds. In the UED campaign it takes mengsk 16 hours to get to the very tail end of his empire. We know of 73 worlds in the dominion. Let's say the distance from the fringes to like korhal is half the distance between each of these worlds.

Something I get annoyed by in SC is the ship sizes. The guys who made the designs for the BCs made them look titanic with the shadows over city block lights both of which are from the ship. Then it's 550m or 1km long. 40k uses different stuff to sell scale and their ships are actually big at 5-8km

I forget how funky 90s StarCraft art is. Look at the chubby Zergling. It's wonderful

cursedpetra.bsky.social @cursedpetra.bsky.social · 27/11/2024

I genuinely get annoyed at people talking about Starcraft and 40k looking similar when the only similarity in design is the trope of a hivemind of bugs in space and the marines looking similar. There's no siege tank in 40k. There's no church ship in Starcraft. Annoyin

A sieged up siege tank from wings of liberty. Letting people see it's funky railgun and legs that make it stay in place

Big ass church ship going past an explosion

I kinda wish some fictional universe had succubi that were like god's workers like Satan is in some Hebrew depictions. So they go after prudish people to make them live a little or haunt people who cheat. Something like that, it'd be fun
