He accepted the offer given to him by the demon. Their strength was his strength, and he'd use it to topple that Empire until it was nothing greater than an Empire of Ash.

Now, he's been apart of those so called "fearless knights." Now, he's seen how falsely fabricated those stories have been. They're bastards, driven by greed, lust, and fame. They've saved no one but their own hides. He's been the only one to uphold the lies he was told. Not anymore.

Since he was a young boy, he'd been told stories of the fearless Knights of the Empire. They were strong, fearless, but most importantly, they were righteous. Even in the most dire situations, they always gave it their all to protect what was most sacred. Life.

Kamui had fought off the demons left and right until one stood in his path. This demon didn't wish to do battle with the raging general. Instead, he wished for a pact. Revenge against the Emperor in exchange for letting the rest of his people go and thrive in peace.

Using forbidden magic, he was cast away into the realm of demons. The plan was to send him on an endless journey through hell and retrieve his body as an undead fighting puppet, but that plan was shattered.

Many, many years of service. No breaks, no complaints. He would leave the Empire on his own in search of his family that have missed him so very dearly. Unfortunately, this wasn't in the Emperor's cards. Kamui was too big an asset to just toss away.

He's built a legacy as the Emperor's top general, but this was never the life he wanted. All he wanted was to find his family, and he couldn't do it while seeking glory on the battlefield.

Kamui fought hard, toppling armies, rival nations, and even the untameable beasts the plagued the land; or in some cases, the seas or the sky.

His time in the Empire did not come free. He was fine to stay for as long as he'd like, but at the cost of joining their army. Day by day, he would be molded into a warrior of legend, and would eventually become a man that Empire wouldn't want to waste.

Days turned into months, months turned into decades. The thought of seeing his family again became a far distant dream that was almost unattainable. He couldn't remember simple landmarks. He couldn't even remember their faces.

The boy was too young to give directions to his home throughout the large continent, and the soldiers were too careless to slaughter the only other people who could know. This resulted in Kamui finding shelter within the Empire. Until he could find his family.

He would undoubtedly be scarred from such a sight at a young age, but that was th least bit of his worries. His troubles would be just beginning.

Kamui had heard tales of these soldiers. Many great things. The nations great defenders were here to save him and put these criminals behind bars! Instead of the classic tales he had heard, the platoon mercilessly slaughter everyone in cold blood.

When the time came for his buyers to retrieve him, it wasn't what anyone was expecting. It was a platoon of soldiers to the Empire to put a stop to the madness.
