just remembered I checked a lady out yesterday that was unironically wearing Charlie Kirk merch and I tried so hard not to laugh lmao

I also recommend using MVSEP to separate the stems of each song you chart (mvsep.com/en), as well as Audacity for audio editing, like adding a delay before the song starts and adjusting volume I've been charting on and off for a couple years now and I'm still very inconsistent, it takes time lol

I use Moonscraper for charting, it's not perfect, but it's pretty simple and beginner friendly github.com/FireFox20000... I also just play a lot of Clone Hero, you can get a feel for how things should generally be structured by just playing them, I find I like the Neversoft charts the most

I LOVE Mac, such a great instrumentalist and vocalist, his soothing tone is intoxicating. This song is one of my personal favorites from him, the chorus is really catchy and flows so well. I'm very excited for the new album :D

I'm late AGAIN! But I do wanna shout out the new Tyler album, listened to it day one and Ring Ring Ring stood out to me a lot, really disco-esque, unexpected of someone like Tyler, but also very expected, I love this mfer so much. Album is only decent imo, other standouts are Sucka Free and SPWM

I brought up this song on my *other* account, but it's absolutely beautiful. It's hard to describe really what I like about this song without using the same language I have these past few days, but it's just a song worth listening to, def one of the most interesting and lovely songs I've heard ❤️

I should also mention that, even though I can't provide any proof, she looks EXACTLY like my older sister, it's fucking uncanny lmao

One of my good friends introduced me Sir Chloe and I'm grateful cause she has an INSANE amount of really good songs, this being one of them. It makes me float in a way that not many songs do, Dana's vocals are heavenly on top of these guitar passages. I also looove the breakdown about 2 minutes in 🤤

As I mentioned with Jamiroquai, I'm a funk fiend and Thundercat is another standout artist in the funk scene. The instrumentals and especially his vocals are all incredible and blend in such a beautiful way here. I can't help but enjoy this song, it brings me so much joy with it's carefree feel.

I understand the name is childish, but they did genuinely make some of the most interesting alternative rock of the 90s, this song being a standout. Lyrics might be gibberish for the most part, but the instrumentals are a standout part of their entire catalogue. also this song was in Saints Row 3

I do, of course, thank them for their service when I get the opportunity, but from now on I'm gonna be a bit more cautious with the younger ones, cause holy fucking shit, fuck people like that. That guy literally ruined my fucking day.

My relationship with veterans is mostly one with sympathy, like "dude, I'm sorry you had to go through that, war sucks, you shouldn't have to do that," but when a mfer is BRAGGING about their kill count TO A CIVILIAN, that's when I immediately lose respect for you, you're just a murderer.

100

CurlyChunk @curlychunk.bsky.social · 18/07/2025

I had a guy at work today BRAGGING about killing hundreds of people in Iraq in the 90s. BRAGGING about KILLING CHILDREN, TOO! He said it like "yeah, I killed about 171 people in Iraq, 41 of those were children" before ACTING IT OUT! OH MY GODD THROW THIS GUY IN THE GULAG, HOLY SHIT!

I understand most people know them from Virtual Insanity, which is another amazing song, but this song feels more comforting for me, almost in a nostalgic way, even though I swear I've never heard this song before a few months ago. Idk, but I like it a lot 😍

CurlyChunk @curlychunk.bsky.social · 17/07/2025

I love funk music, it seems to be specifically designed to cheer you up, and Jamiroquai is one of the shining examples of that. This song specifically has such an intoxicating cheeriness to it. Jay Kay has a beautiful voice that fits this genre perfectly.

An absolutely beautiful song, Mick Jagger's vocals here shine in beautiful contrast with Merry Clayton, who's absolutely singing her heart out here. First time I heard this song, I did indeed get a bit emotional, there's a lot to love and it's genuinely a shame I personally wrote it off for so long.

Ween are absolute masters of their craft and it's really a shame the general public only really know them for 1 song, that being "Ocean Man". They deserve so much more recognition.

010

CurlyChunk @curlychunk.bsky.social · 15/07/2025

ABSOLUTELY the most underrated Ween song ever. The utter vibes leaking from every orifice of this track is insane, I love the lofi tropical feel of it with the deep bass and the high-pitched guitar tones and the casual ride in the back. GUHHHH everything is so perfect,,,

I swear ON MY LIFE the "punches" thing wasn't intended to be a reference to Perry Farrell hitting Dave Navarro. I guess it is now, but it wasn't the original intention lmao.

000

CurlyChunk @curlychunk.bsky.social · 15/07/2025

Genuinely one of their best, the sheer energy this song emits is intoxicating. I love the punches this song throws sonically with it's constant pauses, comebacks, and tempo changes, especially that second one 😵

...the only examples of a song that has an absurd runtime, yet makes it count. To think this was a jab at concept albums, yet it came out better than many I've ever heard, is truly incredible.

000

CurlyChunk @curlychunk.bsky.social · 14/07/2025

I do NOT recommend listening to this unless you have 44 minutes to spare and actually like Jethro Tull. If you do, then this song is a masterclass in conceptual music, it almost works as a play you watch with your ears. Full of whimsy, skillful instrumentation, I genuinely think this is one of...

I love the chorus on this song so much, it vibes so fucking hard. Shirley is one of the most underappreciated female vocalists of all time imo, her gruff and abrasive voice fits so perfectly with this genre of rock.

000

CurlyChunk @curlychunk.bsky.social · 11/07/2025

I love the sound of this, the harmonizations here are insanely catchy especially when contrasted with the deep gruff voice of the lead singer. Takin' Care of Business is also good, but this is on a whole other level.
