Sorry folks, I understand the excitement but feeding thousands of submissions into an LLM wasn't suddenly a good idea just because this time it produced results that make us feel good I know submissions are public and people can do whatever they want with them, but I feel a bit violated over this

Each submission was then read by an artificial-intelligence language model, which carried out a sentiment and stance analysis: classifying the submission as opposing, supporting, or taking no clear position on the bill, tagging the reasons it raised, and noting any way the submitter described themselves. The model used was Anthropic’s Claude (Haiku 4.5). Borderline cases were re-checked by a second automated pass, and the results were spot-checked by a person.

Going to protests, as a quiet person, is always a little strained. Today I made up for that by holding two signs, so my voice would still be heard ✊🏳️‍⚧️✊ This morning my wonderful girlfriend helped me make "we have always been here". Last year my parents helped me make "protect trans kids"

Each concern has several phrasings; we pick one per render. Order of selected concerns is shuffled. Personal context is interpolated. Recommendations also have variants and shuffle. This produces enough variation that submissions will not be auto-grouped by the committee.

I know I don't post my daily cat photos here anymore (trying to be less on my phone all the time) but my boys are still doing well Cass still knows exactly how far away to sit when he wants cuddles but not to be touched, and Milo still knows exactly what he wants and it's cheek scritches
