If you're open to non-English covers (translation in alt-text): Miss Bernburg's Finishing School for Young Ladies is a coming-of-age game about the relationships between upper-class young ladies at a 1950s boarding school. Art by Christiane Ebrecht @kellerlache.bsky.social, cover design by me.

Sure, let's do this! Against the Monster is a story game about a monster hunt, the good of the monster, and the monstrosity of the hunters. When the monster faces you in the end: Do you really attack it? More here: plotbunnygames.itch.io/against-the-... Cover art by me.

Against the Monster. A story game by Jasmin Neitzel & Andrea Rick. Around the text are carbon-pencil style silhouettes of teeth, tentacles, and claws in front of a beige background.

I just released Critter Combo in English last night! It's a surreal creature creation game for 1-3 adventurous humans. Collage a critter, answer prompts, celebrate human creativity! ✂ Also suitable for kids! plotbunnygames.itch.io/critter-comb... #TTRPG #pnpde

Critter Combo. A surreal creation game. Two creatures. A cute creature with a lemur body, the head of a puffer fish, the horns and bangs of a yak, monarch butterfly wings, and an elephant trunk for a tail sits on the ground and sheepishly wrings its hands. It's wearing a blue bandana around its neck. Next to it stands an elegantly creepy creature with an ant-eater head in a ruffled pink dress from the 18th century. The bustle of the dress is a turkey body and tail. The creature's arms are very long and made of frog legs. It's wearing a red hat with a feather-like red-and-blue decoration made from a betta fish. The background is an oil painting of a landscape and sky in shades of red and brown. The title is created with letters from different fonts.

I'm still so happy about this nomination! 🥰 @igdn-official.bsky.social Viva la QueerBar has so much of my own life in it - translated into a queer game, a queer archive, and a queer space that exists wherever you make room for it. I used flyers from my personal archive to create the layout artwork.

Two pages of the interior of the Viva la QueerBar zine in English. One pages has quotes praising the game, the other summarizes what the game is about. At the bottom of the page are several queer bar flyers lying criss-cross over each other. Everything is colored in shades of orange, pink, and purple.

Und hier noch einer für alle, die wissen, dass Wählen natürlich nur ein Teil des ganzen Demokratie- und Solidaritäts-Dings ist - aber speziell diesmal halt ein wirklich wichtiger. Also, hingehen und mitmachen! #AntifaSticker #BTW25

Runder Antifa-Sticker. Drumherum steht weiß auf schwarz "Wählen reicht nicht, is schon klar. Trotzdem hingehn-Antifa."

Can someone please get us at least into the 1950s? 😅 (Which, incidentally, were a decade that saw a lot of equal rights activism that gained much more traction later - such as the Black Civil Rights Movement and the Homosexual Liberation Movement - despite many efforts to silence them.)

The cover for Miss Bernburg's Finishing School for Young Ladies (pic shows 2E in German) was created by @kellerlache.bsky.social who also made some of the gorgeous interior illustrations. She captured exactly the 1950s pulp novel vibe I wanted, and was a delight to work with! 💖

Cover for the German second edition of Miss Bernburg's Finishing School for Young Ladies. It looks like a 1950s pulp novel. The illustrations shows two young ladies sitting close together on a sofa (one Black, one white) with a third one (also white) watching them with a shocked expression from the door in the background. The characters embody the three cliques in the game: Bookworms, Rebels, and Homemakers.

If I was there, this would be the selfie:

Meme with rainbow-haired person with a huge excited smile and all-in-black person with neutral face expression in a car. Text says "Hey Kid" across the rainbow person, and "Me, except I'd also have Hey Kid face" across the person in black.

I'll admit it's a bit dated and has some 1990s implied gender essentialism, anti-femininity and biphobia in some of the issues. But I still love the art and how it develops, the raw power-fantasy anger, the depiction of depression as its flipside, the love for queers, and of course the cat Chicken!

Cover of "The Revenge of Hothead Paisan, Homicidal Lesbian Terrorist". A godzilla-sized, angry 1990s dyke with messy hair, a tank top saying "Move or Die", cut-off jeans and big black boots holds her hand out to stop an ape-like dude in a suit and tie. She holds a gray and white cat posing fabulously in her other arm.

Hey #TTRPG creators on @itch.io - does anyone else currently have weirdly low download numbers with normal view numbers? My downloads have dropped to almost zero since November 11, but the view numbers are in my normal range. Does anyone have an explanation for this? 🤔

Screenshot of my Itch analytics showing data from October 1st to November 14th. Views per day vary within a normal-for-me range. Downloads suddenly drop to almost zero after November 14th, with only four individual days of similarly low numbers in the whole time period before that.

Hi new followers! My name is Andrea Rick and I'm a game designer, graphic designer, translator, editor, and sometimes illustrator. I also run @plotbunnygames.bsky.social, a #TTRPG publishing company. For English descriptions of my work, check out plotbunnygames.itch.io! Some of my games/supplements:

Against the Monster - a story game about a monster hunt. Around the text are black carbon-pencil style silhouettes of teeth, tentacles, and claws in front of a beige background.

Bunny, We Bought a Dungeon - a GM-less OSR map-drawing story game. Illustrated with a medieval wood cut of a bunny in front of a house. It's holding a package of dice and a key in its paws. Further dice are at its feet.

Promo image for "A Killer After Her Own Heart - A Murder Mystery for Brindlewood Bay." A bunch of red roses cover a blood-soaked bed sheet. The title fonts are a decorative cursive in the style of many romance novel covers and a narrow sans-serif with pointy corners. There's also a mock-sticker saying "Runner-up Murder Mystery THE GAUNTLET Brindlewood Bay Writing Context 2022."

If you see this, post a witch in a big hat! ✨ This is Bonny Read, a character I've played in Little Wizards. She's the daughter of two pirate dads. Her familiar is a black seagull called Herring. (Illustration by me)

Young witch sitting cross-legged in front of a pile of magic books and a wooden magic wand. She wears a gray hat with embroidered symbols, a blue-and-white striped t-shirt, and rolled-up blue jeans. Her hair is blue and curly and she has two birth marks, one shaped like a skull and one like an X. Her black seagull Herring stands on one of the books, screaming and flapping its wings.

I'm super biased about the first 2 because they're for games I've (co-)written (topics: 1950s finishing school drama / queer bar vignettes in flexible setting) - the other 2 I just love (topics: retelling of Passover story / ghosts recovering memories and making found family in shared house).

1950s pulp novel-style cover with two women sitting close to each other on a sofa and another watching them from the background with a shocked expression.

Drawing reminiscent of a parting of the Red Sea, with lots of characters and other details in a hand-drawn, folkloristic style.

Painting of youthful-looking ghosts surrounding a house with dissolving boundaries.

Did you know that "Dolly, We Bought a Dream House," a pinktastic GM-less dream-house-drawing game was selected for the Sprinting Owl Selects Bundle, along with 60 other games by 49 other creators? itch.io/b/2407/sprin... #pnpde #TTRPG #DollyWeBoughtADreamHouse

Dolly, We Bought A Dream House. A GM-less dream-house-drawing story game.

A pink silhouette of a house with a small outbuilding in front of a light blue sky with cloud streaks. In front of the house are two light blue waves. Everything looks like three-dimensional plastic. Around the title text are many glittering stars. In the foreground, a Dolly is sitting on a six-sided die, with one hand on a second six-sided die. She's holding her other hand to her face. She has high-piled wavy hair and is wearing a short jacket over a t-shirt, a tight knee-length skirt with a ruffle at the seam, and Western boots with high heels.
