A couple older ones I had sitting around in my folders. A silly cookie and some friend-colored cupcakes.

A silly one. It's not even for an order, but I guarantee that somebody will see it and go "Hey, I know a recipient who needs a reason to eat cake."

Something something having only "One Piece" joke. This was fun. I should probably watch more of it when I get time. I've only seen a few episodes and there are a TON.

The drawn aspects feature a One Piece theme.

Breaking news: one sister copies another's birthday cake, replaces unicorns with owls, causes rift in sibling relations (not really). Also, cake with a SQUIRREL! #cake #cakedecorating

On the right half, there's a large volcano (made of small stacked cake circles and a cupcake) in darker shades of brown with bright orange lava spilling down its sides (the lava icing is also filled with small specks of crumbled chocolate cake, giving it an appearance closer to molten rock).

The left half of the cake is covered in green icing and a variety of artificial bits of foliage -- palm trees peek over the sides of the cake while a handful of leafy sprigs circle a mound of frosting. Four owl figurines (two white, two brown) sit in the makeshift glade. Two more owls, brown with white bellies, sit on a log outside the grassy area. Several pink and white flowers, as well as grass clumps, dot the cake. The words "Happy 8th Birthday Audrey" are printed in pink near the log.

A cake similar in design to the owl cake, from last year, for Paloma's 5th birthday, featuring miniature unicorns rather than owls. While the coloration is largely the same, there is a noticeable lack of artificial elements. Chunks of chocolate act as logs and rocks.

Hello, hello! Been rather quiet for a while, but I wanted to pop in and share a cute mushroom design that came my way. It's a pull-apart for a baby shower and there's a forest/fairy theme to the party, so we played with that idea a bit using their invitation as a reference! Until next time!

A 5x8 arrangement of cupcakes iced together as a pull-apart cake. There are three slim T-shapes on both the left and right sides from a small tip, as well as two partial cylinders along the bottom edge. A faint circle has been etched in the center, stretching most of the way across the vertical length.

The same pull-apart from the previous image. The background of the cake has been airbrushed with pale blue and green, giving a light grass/sky appearance; the center circle was left white and bordered with numerous small dollops of light beige and forest green icing. Four of the T-shapes have become red-capped mushrooms (the leftmost has white dots atop it as well), with frills near the upper parts of their stalks.

The completed pull-apart. All six mushrooms have been colored and topped with a small amount of edible glitter. The two cylinders are small, brown tree stumps, and the bottom border is covered in light and dark green leafy accents. A pale blue border, similar to the sky color, is on the other three sides. In the center of the circle, it reads "Baby Alice is on the way!"

Grad-u-ma-tation party time. There have been a few, actually, but I only snapped a photo of this one. I plan on putting a few new pages in the book with some updated #cake designs. Holidays, celebrations, that sort of thing. Makes it easier for indecisive people to pick things.

Just in case, a warning: we've got a little fake raw meat and blood on this one. Only food coloring gel, but, if that's not your favorite thing, I'll understand (it can look a little icky). One of our meat department folks is retiring tomorrow, so we made a little meat #cake for them.

A ½ sheet cake iced in white buttercream with two areas airbrushed to look like cuts of meat and a small 5" round layer on top decorated to look like a raw hamburger patty with small yellow cheese bits inside. Several drops of dark red coloring gel resembling blood droplets have been added around the "meat" bits.

The inscription in blue on top reads as follows:
It's rare to see someone with your skills go, but, now, you're done. The words "rare" and "done" are colored red and beige respectively, as rare and well-done cooked meat.

A second inscription along the front side reads "Congrats Paul! We'll miss you!" in red.

This is one of my favorites, if not my MOST enjoyed design. The inverted cupcake volcano, the roughed-up terrain, the bones, the vines... I could spend all day meticulously crafting a dino cake for one order, given the chance. This one had to be done a little quicker, but, here it is! #cakes

A sheet cake, with a rough finish on its top, largely airbrushed a medium brown color to give the appearance of a barren landscape, with green patches of vines along the left and right borders. There are a handful of scattered bones piped in white icing near the green areas as well. Near the top-center of the cake, the dirt color darkens and an upside-down cupcake has been covered in icing to mimic a volcano's appearance, complete with bright orange lava trails on several sides.

Near the bottom-right, "Happy 6th Birthday Mauricio" is printed in orange icing.

It's always good when customers understand our limits when it comes to copyrighted material and... adjust... their orders appropriately. I hope someone likes their orange ball cake and the red stars that will most certainly be going on Mom's homemade cupcakes.

We got REALLY busy and... kinda forgot the last picture. The customer had a support rod and planned to place a dragon at the very top of the flames. Personally, I would have wanted to take a different approach with the fire, but they enjoyed the star-tip appearance.

The two-tier cake from previous posts, now with bright yellow, orange, and red flames pouring down the upper-levels (a cupcake was added for a very small third tier) and through some of the fondant stonework at the top of the large 8" layers.

Still standing! And looking a bit more like a castle keep! Still... that top needs something.

The previously-posted two-tier cake, now with its bottom tier coated in gray icing and given a stone brick pattern. A tall brown fondant wooden door is attached on the right while one of two stone windows is on the left. Gray fondant bricks have been added around the top of the stone layer as well. The base is partially covered in olive-green coconut flakes and several beige fondant cones (to be topped later with raspberries and made to look like mushrooms) are present.

Been a couple days since anything fun -- but it's been SOOOOO busy that I haven't had much time to show off all the neat things going on! But! Hehe. Butt. Anyway! Special soccer cake for a lucky 9-year-old! ...that's "football" for most of our friends in other places, but, for Liam, it's soccer!

Rainbow unicorn and cherry blossoms! We're having all kinds of fun today! Someone has a big picture of Nezuko Kamado from 'Demon Slayer' that's going on the cherry blossom cake... but we can't put it on before they buy it.
