granted I could get the same utility from a sketchbook if I switched to traditional art, but I have been doing predominantly digital art since middle school, and traditional art is less intuitive for me at the moment

I have already drawn as many things in the past 3 months as I probably did in a whole year previous & it's all because when I get home from work I can just grab my iPad and draw while watching movies with my wife, instead of dragging myself all the way to the computer

as an artist, it's important not to fall into the trap of thinking that a specific tool will magically fix your ability to create art having said that, however, buying an iPad was probably the best thing I've ever done for my art, lol

It's @olliefur.bsky.social's character Oliver! Some new things with this big guy include a new snout shape carved from a block of foam, big posable wings, and eyelids! All of the features from Kitt were carried over to him, too!

Mocha the anthropomorphic lion is sitting and eating a muffin; he brags that he's not worried about gaining weight because he has a good metabolism. A few seconds later, he magically gains 100 pounds and his belly balloons out with a "BWOMP" while he looks down embarrassed.

Stompy smashy macro stuff is not really for me but I love the idea of gentle giant-type macro characters. In Oliver's case, I think that despite being a big clumsy dragon he would somehow manage to avoid ever causing any serious destruction. No one knows how he does this, he just does.

It's Oliver! A fursona that I made in late 2024. I tend to use more brownish, natural colours when designing characters, so I challenged myself to make someone brightly coloured for a change.
