134 years ago, on the 7th of June 1892, Homer Plessy was arrested for refusing to leave his seat on a train, resulting in a court case hoping to challenge the segregationist laws. The case went to the US Supreme Court where Plessy lost, resulting in the 'separate but equal' doctrine. #otd #history 🗃️
