His hut is officially finished! All furnished and everything... He can live here now, if he wanted.

He's actually not in his hut today. Decided to finally take a break and wander through the palace instead.

Sitting in his half furnished hut, looking around with a sigh. ...He's missing his lovers.

"Good." He sits on the surface of the bed, pulling Odysseus onto his lap. Within the privacy of this hut, they don't have to worry about prying eyes. "I think we're overdue some time together then, huh?"

Διομήδης | 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬 @cunningandcourage.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

"Ah, I wish I could have been there to witness your journey. I would've loved to accompany you back home." He takes Ody's hand and tugs him over to the half finished bed he'd been making. It wasn't done, but it was comfortable enough to sit on. "You don't have to go back yet, right?"

000

Διομήδης | 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬 @cunningandcourage.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

A quiet chuckle leaves his lips as he presses a kiss to his beloved's head. "It's alright. I am working just fine on my own. I only need your arms to come back to at the end of the day."

000

Διομήδης | 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬 @cunningandcourage.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

"Of course not! I would love that." He slight smile curls his lips, bringing the old king back into his arms, hugging tightly. "...Is this why you have been waiting for me, every night? Why you've been talking about our life at the palace so much?"

010

Διομήδης | 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬 @cunningandcourage.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

"No, don't apologise." A gentle hand under his chin tilts Odysseus's head up so he could meet his eyes. "I should have discussed this with you before. I can only imagine what you must've felt watching me waste my time here. I should apologise, my love. I'm sorry."

000

Διομήδης | 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬 @cunningandcourage.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

...Ah. In hindsight, it was really stupid of him to start this project without consulting Odysseus... Diomedes sighs, his gaze flitting away. How should he explain the reason he started in this in the first place...? "Odysseus... It is not that I don't want to live with you in the palace, and I —

Διομήδης | 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬 @cunningandcourage.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

"What-?" That was certainly not what he was expecting. His arms squeeze tighter around the old king, delicate kisses pressed to his head. "Why would you think that? Of course I still want to be your husband..."

000

Διομήδης | 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬 @cunningandcourage.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

Oh- Oh dear... Something was definitely very wrong. Diomedes is at Odysseus's sides the moment he sees those clenched fists, and he places a hand on the king's shoulder. "Odysseus... What's wrong? Have I upset you...?" He attempts to bring the smaller man closer into his arms, offering comfort, —

Διομήδης | 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬 @cunningandcourage.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

The warrior pauses, sensing that something was wrong. He gives a quick once over to his hut. It looked alright to him... "...And how would you say I'm doing?" He steps up to his side, watching him carefully. What could have upset him so? Something within the hut...? ( Poor oblivious Diomedes )

000

Διομήδης | 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬 @cunningandcourage.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

Oblivious to the king's feelings, Diomedes looks up from where he sat on the floor. And immediately, a wide smile spread on his lips. "Odysseus! What're you doing here?" He's up and walking over to greet him, dusting himself off on the way. "I don't think you've come to see me here before..."

He's currently in his little hut, carving away at a large chunk of wood. He's making a bed for his new place!

000

Διομήδης | 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬 @cunningandcourage.bsky.social · 19/01/2025

He's carved out a small table and two chairs. ...Maybe he should've started with a bed. Oh well.

000

Διομήδης | 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬 @cunningandcourage.bsky.social · 19/01/2025

Roof is officially finished! He now has a proper little hut! Still unfurnished inside, but that will fill up with time. ...In fact, he could get started on carving some furniture now!

He's stuck between accepting the food and drink and inspecting her head to make sure she is alright. With a smile, he accepts the basket and jug, only to set them down on a small makeshift log table. "I appreciate it greatly, my Lady. Thank you. But are you alright...?" He reaches out to pull —

It takes him a while to return, lifting some rather heavy materials on his shoulder. He sets them down to the side with a sigh, wiping sweat from his forehead. He's surprised to see Ctimene inside though, a smile twitching on his lips. "Lady Ctimene? What're you doing here?"

000

Διομήδης | 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬 @cunningandcourage.bsky.social · 18/01/2025

He's been working on this hut for quite a while now. He's almost got the structure up. Only the roof is left. Away, he goes to gather more materials.

010

Διομήδης | 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬 @cunningandcourage.bsky.social · 17/01/2025

Alright. He's got the foundation set. A nice and even floor. The walls are almost done too! He'll have to collect more materials for the roof, though...

Διομήδης | 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬 @cunningandcourage.bsky.social · 17/01/2025

Update on his hut: He has the basic structure built! Strong and steady. Good foundation. Time to work on the flooring and walls.

Alright. He's got a basic structure going. Should hold steady through the night. Time to head back inside the palace and hope he's exhausted enough to sleep more than an hour...

Διομήδης | 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬 @cunningandcourage.bsky.social · 14/01/2025

"No! No, nothing like that. The palace is great, and I am very grateful to Odysseus for taking me in. ...But... It is hard... to feel like I belong. I... serve no purpose here."

Διομήδης | 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬 @cunningandcourage.bsky.social · 14/01/2025
