Second plenary @ #CES2024Durham - Nicole Wen on ritual in childhood. Children recognise ritual actions from infancy, and learning group rituals increases group identity behaviours and affiliation (where opportunities to form individual bonds via exposure are more limited). #CulturalEvolution
