It's been a while since inplayed 40k, but I got in a 500 point game tonight, my Drukhari v the Marines of the Raptors' Chapter. My missionwas Surveil to Foe. The Marines got an early lead, but I pulled out a win, 83 to 68. #warhammercommunity #warhammer40k #warhammer #miniatures #40k #nerdlings

The Dark Eldar move out cautiously. With two units each in a transport they were hard pressed to score early objectives.

The Raider full of Wyches takes an objective.

The Succubus and Wyches destroy the Reavers.

The Archon and Hand of the Arxhon retake the Dark Eldar home objective.

This weekend I finished up a unit of Grenadiers for my Cities army. These guys have proven useful - they will ride in my Conqueror Cogfort, I think. #warhammercommunity #ageofsigmar #paintingwarhammer #warhammer #aos #miniatures #miniaturepainting #nerdlings

10 Freeguild Grenadiers in the green and yellow of my custom City, Hartshorn.

Four Grenadier specialists - these guys don't have different profiles, but L to R, a Bombardier, a Leadshotter, the unit leader with dual pistols, and a Cindergout.

Three Grenadiers with Ruinsweepees and Bardiches.

Quote post with something old you're proud of. Captain from the 5th edition starter set, Assault on Black Reach. Painted in the colors of the Emperor's Warbringers Chapter.

Space Marine Captain of the Warbringers Chapter. The green boarder indicated the 5th Company.

I remain pleased with the way the freehand on the cape turned out.

I painted this during a period when I was going for more "realism"

This weekend I finished up the Cavalier-Marshal for my Cities of Sigmar army. I am glad to finally get this guy done as he had sat partially painted for 2 years. #warhammercommunity #ageofsigmar #paintingwarhammer #warhammer #aos #miniatures #miniaturepainting #nerdlings

Cavalier-Marshal in the yellow and green heraldry of my custom City, Hartshorn.

In the time this guy sat unpainted I managed to break off his banner, so I replaced it with a Simarite icon.

1st game of Path to Glory; my Cities v a Gloomspite Troggherd. The mission was Thyria's Bounty. The Cogfort is my hero - it is actually supposed to be a Conqueror, which I'm still painting. The Troggboss got burned but the game was a draw. #aos #ageofsigmar #warhammer #warhammercommunity

Cities of Sigmar battle line, bottom to top - Freeguild Cavaliers, a Cogfort, Steelhelms. Dawner's Triumph and reinforced Steelhelms in the distance.

3 Fellwater troggs. The Steelhelms would rip them apart.

The brave Steelhelms back face the Krondspine and Fellwater troggs

Another bit for my Cities of Sigmar army, the Dawner's Triumph. This painted up very fast, and I'm glad I didn't go with just grey stone. #warhammercommunity #ageofsigmar #paintingwarhammer #warhammer #aos #miniatures #miniaturepainting #nerdlings

Dawner's Triumph- I went with muted yellow and grey-green stone to mirror my City's heraldry.

Rear aspect. There's a skull on a shelf in the back of the Knight armor.

Details of the offerings left around the shrine. Most are Malleus Coins.

We played a 2K game on AoS, the mission was Passing Seasons. It was my Cities v Trugg's Troggherd. I played it very cagey, refusing my right flank leaving Trugg isolated. The Troggs conceded at the top of Turn 4. #aos #ageofsigmar #warhammer #warhammercommunity

Trugg, 6 Rockguts and a Troggboss. I isolated this section of the army so they couldn't do much.

Flashback Friday - taking pics of older bits from my collection. This is the OG metal Harlequin Shadowseer. The paintjob is based on the image on the Harlequins Regiment of Reknown box RTB06 issued in 1988. #warhammercommunity #warhammer40k #paintingwarhammer #warhammer #oldhammer #nerdlings

Eldar Harlequin Shadowseer. You can see elements of this design in the modern model. But you have to love the now outdated lightening claw and laspistol.

Despite the passage of 38 years, the model still sports elements that remain almost unchanged today - like the Creidann backpack mounted grenade launcher.

We played a 2K game on AoS, the mission was Linked Leylines. It was my Cities of Sigmar v Ogors. I thought I would get rolled, but it turned out very close. High point was Morga charging 20 Steelhelms and killing only 4. I lost in turn 5 28 - 32. #aos #ageofsigmar #warhammer #warhammercommunity

Morgan faces the cannon after clearing 20 Steelhelms. Tahlia failed a 5" charge to get in to save them.

20 Fusiliers, 10 Grenadiers, and a Fusil-Major blast the Orgors on the central objective.

10 Steelhelms and Tahlia hold the central objectives. Only these 10 Steelhlems will survive the game.
