I sure hope this isn't limited to just presentation though, I'd like the mechanics are similarly added upon. overall, it's nice to be excited about RPG maker again, it's 2019 all over again.

also, I love MZ but a lot of that is carried by how awesome the plugins for it are. the evolution from MV to MZ isn't so exciting to the average person. but this? U2U is gonna make people perk their ears up because of how big and noticeable of a jump this is.

this is also really interesting because I know a lot of people are like "HD 2D games are ugly I hate the bloom and the shaders" so now that this kind of style/medium is in the hands of a wide population in a really accessible way, we'll get to see way more variety in this way of presentation.
