It's not the _official_ term, but it's what all the Lethbians I know call themselves. You'll sometimes hear "Lethbridger" or "Lethbonian" from people who are trying to be Very Serious, but I don't think they have ever really caught on.

Huh. I thought they were from Riverdale, not Lethbridge.

Netflix should have it, and Shout! studios has also posted in on their own YouTube channel. www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfdB...

True. The overall feeling of Fallout 1 and 2 was more "Grim 'n' Gritty(tm)" with a dose of "Yes we watched a lot of Monty Python" on top. I feel that Fallout 4 tried to do the same thing but never quite got it right. Fallout 3 tried even harder to be a remake of Fallout 1/2 with the same result.

I was digging through the Ghibli archives and was reminded of "Mei and the Kittenbus", a short Totoro film that was only ever shown at the Ghibli Museum. It hasn't been released, but you can have the experience of watching the back of someone's head as they watch it. archive.org/details/MTKB...

And if you haven't seen Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Castle in the Sky, Kiki, Pom Poko, Totoro or Ponyo, then proceed directly to them first.

One more -- "Big Fish and Begonia" is a Chinese anime from 2016. If you liked Spirited Away, this one should be pretty good.

And if you're open to films that aren't Ghibli, "Your Name / Kimi no Na wa" was amazing. Don't read anything about it first, just watch it.

Also, the chat overlay needs to uncritically put everything it sees in chat directly into a browser source. The original target was using a chat overlay they had vibe coded out of nothing -- Real code made by smart people might be clever enough not to do that. blog.scrt.ch/2026/09/22/h...

So... This is a thing now. What you'll need to know: - This affects the current version of OBS. Patches should be coming soon. Update, dammit. - This (basically) won't work if you don't have a chat overlay. If you do, this would be a great time to turn it off for a few days.

Starflight was the first REALLY BIG open world game I played, on a Compaq Luggable hooked up to a big TV set. Gaming was different then. Four years development was considered a long time. EA actually cared about people. Xenon still thought he would get paid. www.timeextension.com/features/the...

After taking a week off for a much needed vacation, we're back with Baldur's Gate 3 tonight at 6 PM EDT. We're getting into Act III and things are heating up, so be sure to be there when it all goes wrong. twitch.tv/ctrlaltminuit #gaming #VTuber #ENVTuber #Twitch #Vtuber #ENVtuber #gamedev #bg3

To be fair, Whitney had a pretty rough time during the filming of Star Trek. This may have been her way of getting revenge on it. memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Grace_L...

Yup. Fallout's "SPECIAL" system was originally going to be Steve Jackson's GURPS, and you can see the similarities, but SJG had seconds thoughts and backed out of the deal. They might have still been nervous after being raided by the Secret Service over their Cyberpunk RPG a few years earlier.

They're quite the experience. The interface isn't what you'd expect from a modern game, but if you can look past that there's a good story and a lot of the general weirdness that you've come to expect from modern Fallout and Obsidian.

Okay, for some reason images aren't posting again. Whee. It was a clip from this page: www.darthsanddroids.net/episodes/020... Look at it yourself. Clip it. Edit it. Alt-text it. And then paint it black, because that's what Bluesky does.

Exactly nineteen years ago today some nice, well adjusted folks posted the very first page of their adaptation of Star Wars, Episode I as a D&D campaign. Today they finished Episode IX. "Darths & Droids" is now old enough to drink, and boy does it need to. www.darthsanddroids.net/episodes/283...

A page from "Darths & Droids", episode 208, "Fish Fall. Everyone Dies". Qui-Gon Jin sees a group of battle droids leading Queen Amidala through Theed and, in a moment of inspiration, tries to cast "Summon Bigger Fish" again. The DM, clearly exasperated by now, lets him do it and a giant fish falls on top of the droids, the queen and her bodyguard.
