Without downloading any new pics, where are you at mentally?

Manga panel focused on a guy’s legs from the knees down (from behind), showing much of the ground.

Thought bubbles: “Every day, my body is decaying, and my mind is getting duller…”

Haha, Mutta does love to stew in that. I was just doing some "bicycle lookups" and with him in Houston with Hibito, who was complaining about him going on about that. 😝 (When he said he's sure he failed.)

Is he the only result? 😝 As usual, frustrating and thrown off by questions not being best-formatted and by "neutral/no opinion" not being the same as "it's complicated"

This is a cat check point. Relinquish your most recent cat picture on your phone.

Niya, the large, grey tabby from The Secret World of Arietty—taking up the whole frame—staring down at her, center screen.

This counts. It is a picture of an IMAX movie screen. 😛

You know the meme…. Also ❤️ your running commentary.

“The Average Asian Aging Process” explained through multiple pictures, with 18, 20-30, and 30-50 looking like the same young/slender image just with her hair up and with kids in the final bracket

Then a MENOPAUSE!!! trigger after which 60-70 is short and zaftig with sunglasses and a sweatshirt, and “Age 120” has a tiny old lady face poking in from bottom frame

Pick a Bond villain from the photos you already have on your phone

A giant patissier wielding a knife, uniform coated with red as if bloody (it is strawberry innards) saying “…welcome.”

Picture of Yuri (from the Dirty Pair) covered in a blanket, in her freezing cold room. On a monitor behind her is, for no apparent reason, the names of the actors of Star Trek: TOS

without downloading anything new, where are you mentally?

Some yuri with one character crying on the couch while holding a beer and getting drunk: “You’re right, I’m completely worthless!”

WAAAHH

The second is holding her hand out, trying to interrupt and offer comfort.

I needed this last night. Here you go, I made it myself.

The full screenshot of "man of culture as well" guy, from Arakawa Under the Bridge, Season 2 Episode 9, wherein they are talking about topknot tea whisks.

Most people do not know this. Welcome to the Secret Lore™

We should totally hang out.

Tight-in focus on "Ah, I see you are a man of culture" meme guy. Without the text. It was very hard to find anything without the text, which is I'm sure why this shot is cropped in.

The Mandalorian and Grogu (2026)

Snapshot from Urusei Yatsura Movie 2: Beautiful Dreamer, showing Mujaki the dream demon (super-deformed weirdo with a red jacked, bowtie and tophat) arguing with Sakura (long-suffering Shinto priestess and exorcist, dressed in traditional white robe over red hakama), on a decaying balcony in the dilapidated dream-state Tomobiki High School.

Why that looks nothing like

Purple box with a white-and-black complex Escheresque design involving dragons and polyhedrons and stuff, with the name "Archon" displayed.

Amusingly at top in much larger text is "Atari XE Video Game Cartridge" so you know what it can play on.

Also included is the internal instruction book and the video game cartridge, which similar picture/text adornments.

@reallifecomics.bsky.social Every once in a while I go back to the beginning of webcomics I've followed for decades and get hit with specs and I chortle with a weird/unintentional side of humor.

Speed bubble pulled from a comic panel, with "Hey, that's not a bad idea! We could use my spare overclocked Pentium III 450, get a DSL line, and we'd be in business!"

Speed bubble pulled from a comic panel, with "Now THIS is a computer! Quad PIII Xeons, a gigabyte of RAM, 42 GB hard drive, a 21" monitor and full voice control!!"

Also my chiming in right before the end

Well, nothing has changed about my desires for it: chihaya-furu

Question is, what has the author revealed? Not... much. I feel like there has been some extra "TaichiXHanano" scenes, to possibly try to fend off the wailing fangirl hordes. Suo is changed largest and Shinobu as well, that I feel it's even best-er now if the win. Though not LIKING that it's luck-of-the-draw (a bit overused and too-cute-by-half here), it shows how much Chihaya and Arata have earned, but lets "the title draw" carry on past the end of the series. A win by Arata here would be tainted by "well the meijin was going blind anyway" but Suo's win here still has "proof" to it, and that can carry on into bringing karuta into other communities, and he can empassion those who wouldn't by either Arata or Chihaya.

Shinobu can best draw out karuta into "a profession" and make the next meijin/queen match explosive. She could also best play out a "fated rivalry" aspect between her and Chihaya. (But frankly I want someone like Inokuma or Sakurazawa to take it from Shinobu before Chihaya would.)

Both Chihaya and Arata are obviously fated to BECOME "the best" at some point, but having both or even either of them do it at the end of the series here comes down more on "narrative obligation and making the audience happy" which is... not as satisfying, ultimately.

I could take either Arata's confessing again or Chihaya's positive acceptance of one better in light of their mutual losses better than being "the prize for winning."

But... I'd rather as I stated before, that it doesn't happen with any of them. There has simply not been enough romantic development in ~245 chapters to end with a random kiss and a promise. Chihaya still feels bound and determined to "find her role" in the world and keep on with karuta before any distractions, and it would probably make sense for Arata and Taichi to come to terms with immature/schoolguy crushes and everyone has, like..…

I feel like from the author's perspective it's "important fate" stuff, but I want players' skills! -- I think this was around Chapter 235 dropping:

Have to cheat to get around BS limits

Space Brothers is coming to its end soon, and is my favorite series ever, so I must list
Akane-banashi got two seasonal write-ups, so deserves a slot
Orion's Board got another, so here we go!
Vinland Saga was my major "catch up on in 2025 and holy shit it's great"
Wotakoi wins "I never stop reading it in K Manga in an ever-looping cycle"

hmmm...

Bluesky really needs a character limit upgrade! XD
What have I been looking forward to most each time I open an app this year...?

Tonikawa/Fly Me to the Moon
Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You
My Dear Detective
Witch Hat Atelier
Steel of the Celestial Shadows

Good enough. I could be here all day, otherwise. XD

there are 4 types of guys online. no exceptions

The “four guys” from Beast King GoLion/Voltron, in mostly casual clothes, with “Chibi”s head barely visible from the bottom, which is most-amusing.

HOWEVER Due to the inability to extract “80’s” from your true image, we must delve deeper. “Something Takahashi” just feels right, too. Therefore I shall assign Maris to your cause.

Red-headed Maris the Chojo, chillin’ in her ship with a furry lil’ dude.

Hm. Obviously it is hard in general to separate you from Usagi, and if I had my druthers would be looking at a different kind of quirky while still having some magical girl in there.

Chacha of Akazukin Chacha, who is designed like a chibi Red Riding Hood. Here she is in a strange cave of some sort, with a mallet in her hand, playing a Whack-a-Mole proxy.
