Starting March 2026, CAES Valley Laboratory in Windsor is undergoing renovation! Soil testing will temporarily move to our New Haven facility. After March 31, drop off samples at the designated area at Valley Lab, they'll be brought to New Haven for testing. 🔗 Link in bio for details.

New research documents first evidence in Connecticut of European corn borer (Ostrinia nubilalis) injury to Bt sweet corn producing Cry proteins in 2023–2024. The extent and genetic basis of this resistance remain uncertain, but its persistence threatens long-term Bt pest management. 🔗 in bio.
