How about having your morning coffee in these large mugs. Experimented to get the right gold and hand painted a design that satisfied a custom order. After 3 attempts, this combo of tropical teal and porcelaine markers worked best for my painting skill level too. #custommademugs

I had fun with bougainvillea and RCH on these pots. Though I find the bowls look so similar even though the patterns were different. 2 coats each on speckled brown clay fired to cone 6

Have you tried the grolleg porcelain. It seems to be more forgiving. I thought I trimmed too thin but it fine after bisque and glaze.

Do you thing about storage when you make functional pottery? Yes it’s just a little more effort to trim to stack well. Matching the exact shape when I’m not a production potter is still somewhat of a challenge no matter how many times I measure. #frozenpondglaze #pottersofbluesky

Patience and persistence is truly a virtue I applied to this remake of a broken mug. So I don’t often make mugs and it took 4 tries until I was satisfied. The new owner was completely happy too. And a bonus, I used kintsugi to repair the broken mug which is now a pencil holder.

Here are the glazed Georgia red clay. I love the fired color natural too. I only wish I made the planters larger since I doubt I’ll go back to using the clay body again. I really really prefer a smooth grog-less surface to work with. #justpottery #pottersofbluesky #GAclay

I was afraid the handle wouldn’t hold the weight with the pitcher filled or be awkward to use. I’m ok if an hand is used at the base to support the weight.
