You made a fine choice - one of my favorite OSR games from the last few years

This implies that orcs play TTRPGs and not just the dragon game so they know what a point crawl is 😝

This is a fine selection of books to be sure. Less confident about the shoe you took this picture with though.

Alex, @boshnroll.bsky.social and I had a long standing Playlist for traveling to events titled "screechy renditions" I'll share it to you if you'd like to partake

I think Jlo should stay banned because it will never not be funny to me that a card is banned from the only format it does anything in

Hope there was at least one game you went land, lotus, wheel your opponent into something unplayable

They had me at Castlevania. They got my heart at 2D

I have recently been trying to find more games my daughter will like as she's consuming them racenously, and demos are great for that as she doesn't yet have a clear preference for types of games

I laughed when you told the pedant story on the book club this week - its definitely the best of those random stocks people and a beloved memory from when I played through it ❤️

I also do a side hustle of buying and selling RPG books. The past 2 years it’s been roughly 25-35k or so. So I send a lot of packages.

… a dude who had somehow gotten a key that let him take the whole door off my area’s community mailbox, and we caught him dumping all the mail into a sack. Hope the fucker went to jail.

Yep. TLDR; one day I ordered a poster foil Sauron and the day it was delivered it wasn’t there. I did a lot of legwork myself with the postal office to determine a stand-in did put it in the box, so it should have been there. Eventually me and my carrier were both able to capture video of…

You should meet them. It’s great - my postal carrier and I have solved felonies together.

Do you work with the ETC or main campus?

Fate and Savage Worlds. Any system designed to be a “system for everything” I find to be soulless.

I am fine with “good at in real life so good at in game” - but for OSR reasons less so than this. Glad it worked out for you - I just generally find it to be a part of trad game culture that I don’t ever think works very well

110

Chris “cstags10” Stagno @cstags10.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

Fair enough. The thing you said is why I dislike them for the most part - because the players pull themselves out of the game to solve it typically with little to no RP involved. So it’s just your friends solving a weirdo game they didn’t come to play.

Chris “cstags10” Stagno @cstags10.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

Serious question - do you like this kind of thing in play? Interested to hear your thoughts
