I’m so sorry, their dismissiveness is beyond galling!

Although I told docs for years that I had severe menstrual cramps, I was 44 before a (wonderful) GP took me seriously & sent me for a specialized ultrasound, which (surprise!) showed a huge uterine polyp. Its removal made my life SO much better—too bad I was already perimenopausal by then. Sigh.

This will likely be a multi-pronged assault: disinfo & threats (ICE + Nat Guard intimidating voters), followed by hysterical, unprovable claims of “stolen” elections + refusals to certify results or seat elected Dems. Worst & last, pardoned J6ers are available for a Capitol Riot Redux.

I know women who talk about their experiences of rape, stalking, groping, harassment and coercion, and women who don’t speak about such things. I’ve long suspected that the rate is closer to 100% than it is to the widely cited 40%.

I think we’ve already had many shots: 2016, two impeachments, 2020 and 2024. Stuck at home, surrounded by a highly contagious pandemic, we did get it right in 2020. But I agree: if we don’t get it right this time, the criminals will burrow in for the long haul.

I wish she had! I think, because she was starting chemotherapy & breast cancer treatment, she was afraid to create waves. I’m still ticked off about it but relieved she made it past the 5-year mark with clean scans.

In 2019, my sister had surgery to install a chemo port for breast cancer. Pre-surgery, she was was given IV anesthesia & she told them that she didn’t feel any sedation. They hooked up another IV & then started cutting as she cried. AFTERWARDS they found out the IV had fallen out of her arm!
