On April 27, a Phoenix cop shot Dalia Moroyoqui. She survived. Video shows that while Moroyoqui had a knife, she was walking away from officers on a sidewalk and made no aggressive movements. A bystander yelled, "Why'd you shoot her?" By @csosin.bsky.social:

Phoenix won a pyrrhic victory over fired cop Dusten Mullen. A judge denied Mullen's request to reinstate him. But she also largely took Mullen's side, saying he'd shown that the city likely retaliated against him for exercising free speech. By @csosin.bsky.social:

In February, Phoenix police and Arizona state troopers killed Jesus Flores in his car as he bizarrely tried to flee despite it being hobbled. His partner, Danielle, had been in the car with him minutes before cops fired a barrage of bullets into it. She tells her story to @csosin.bsky.social:

Yesterday, the city passed its Community Transparency Initiative, which in part restricts ICE from performing some operations on city-owned property. It's not without exceptions. 🔗 Here's what to know: www.phoenixnewtimes.com/news/phoeni…

Phoenix police investigated six cops for arresting and charging George Floyd protesters as a bogus gang in 2020. Three who still work for the department were cleared. Three who have retired or quit were not, but Phoenix PD cannot punish them. By @csosin.bsky.social:
