Grant finished cutting gains in the Cants for the water wheel of the grist mill. I was in the bookbinding shop most of the day.

#JamesBarryDiary 29/6/1876 A remarkable warm day, sunny all the time. I was drying all day, and ground one grist of Oats, and sawed some shingles and did many other wonderful things. Fast day at Salt Springs to day and consequently the highlandmen, women and girls wer driving about like mad.
